Of the Presidency of the Seventy
When the Savior appears to the people in the Book of Mormon after His Resurrection, He again speaks of His healing power. The Nephites hear HIs voice from heaven saying, "Will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that I may heal you?" Later, the Savior teaches, "For ye know not but what they will return and repent, and come unto me with full purpose of heart, and I shall heal them." The Savior was not referring to a physical healing but rather a spiritual healing of their souls.

It must have snowed all night because when I got up this morning there was 4 inches of snow on the ground and on the patio table.
After reading from the Book of Mormon and the "Come Follow Me" lesson and Genesis 21, I began a study of Abraham using Ben Wilcox's YouTube power point lesson. There are two handouts we are going to use on Sunday "Who was Abraham" and "The Works of Abraham." Brother Applegate asked us to do a 15 minute presentation during his Sunday School lesson.
I keep thinking about last night's meeting and the news that the Westbrook family, Joe and Corinna, and four of their children have moved to New Mexico because Joe got a job. The bishop had approved one of the girls, probably Macy, to be a family history consultant. Rootstech is coming up and we want to have a big push for family history in the ward.
I am also sad that Lynda Van Haren is moving to Pine. She has been so faithful playing the organ in sacrament meeting and the piano in Primary, even though she comes by herself because her husband is a non-member.
We had a sister in our ward pass away yesterday. Her name is Rosalie Cline. We had just talked about her in our meeting last night. She does not come to church and I have never met her but of course Tamara knows her.
James got his inspections ordered this week for the hangar job he is working on. He also spends a lot of time indexing. He is quite competitive and wants our ward to meet our quota.
Sheri isn't leaving to come up here until tomorrow evening. She has a 3:00 appointment at the Gilbert temple and will leave after she is finished. That means I can clean upstairs tomorrow instead of today. Is that called procrastination, or living on the edge?
In December I bought a ham. We never used it because Sheri brought up a ham and we used hers. I put ours in the freezer and just took it out last night and put it in the refrigerator. We enjoyed eating from it today. James had some for breakfast and then we both had a ham sandwich for lunch. Being frozen did nothing to detract from the delicious flavor.
I got a letter from The Philadelphia Church of God today thanking me for ordering their magazine, The Trumpet. When I saw the letter I thought for sure they would ask for a donation because I paid nothing for the magazine subscription nor the two books I ordered. I was pleasantly surprised when I read the letter which was very cordial, that they did not ask for any money.
This evening James wanted to do something together so I suggested we watch the movie I watched the other day "Harmony from the Heart" starring Jesse Metcalf and Jessica Lowndes. James does not like Jessica Lowndes but he agreed to watch it. She plays a music therapist in the movie and Jesse Metcalf plays a heart surgeon. Jesse's grandfather is the patient. Jessica sings several songs in the movie and she has a beautiful voice. After it was over James said, "That was a nice movie." He loved her voice too.
