Ginger called today and we talked. I had asked her to call so we could discuss our gospel studies. I told her how I read a chapter a day from the Old Testament and then take a section of the lesson for the week and study it. I also read from the Book of Mormon everyday. She says she wants to do all of that but sometimes she gets busy helping her father-in-law and doesn't have time to study. I told her that's why I like to get up early in the morning when it's quiet and there are no interruptions.
James has a colonoscopy tomorrow so today is his prep day. He has to drink this nasty liquid that helps to clean him out. He has had a colonoscopy before and he says this is the worst part.
I signed up for the Circle K Easy Pay card which is quite a process. It still isn't complete until they deposit money in my account, withdraw the money, and then I contact them. It just seems weird but I'm trying to jump through the hoops to save 10 cents a gallon on my gas.
I think listening to Brother Millett's book, "Whole in Christ" is creating within me a desire to be better. He talks about types of sins and he believes that the sin against charity is one of the worst. As a result I am trying to be more patient and use a kind voice when I speak.
Cammy delivered homemade bread and cinnamon rolls tonight. Emsley brought the cinnamon rolls to the door and Leland brought the bread. It was so good to see them but I told Emsley I couldn't give her a hug because I was sick. She said, "I know."
Cammy makes the best bread and it smelled delicious. Benson has not gotten his birthday card because they haven't picked up their mail.
Our friend Donna Peeler is sick but she doesn't have Covid, she has the flu. She is already so fragile I hope that she can fight this off.
This evening while James was indexing I watched an old Autumn Reeser and Andrew Walker movie, "The 27 Hour Day." The little pig in the movie was the best part. Autumn and Andrew are two of my Hallmark favorites.
Cleansing of America
The divine destiny of America cannot be completely realized until at least nine things have happened. Here are number 7-9:
7. After the Battle of Armageddon, Jesus will appear to the Jews, and the leaders of the military dictatorship will be wiped out. With only a sixth of the army surviving, the battered remnants will flee back to their homes. America will no longer need to be sealed off, and thereafter the New Jerusalem in Americal will be the ZION from which "shall go forth the law" with "the word of the Lord from Jerusalem."
8. Afther the fall of Gog and Magog following the Battle of Armageddon, the remnants of the remaining nations will be fighting and quarreling amongst themselves. Meanwhile, the ten tribes will make their miraculous journey to the temples in America. Twelve thousand will be chosen from each of the tribes and these 144,000 will go out among the nations to warn them for the last time. Those who reject their message will be sealed up to destruction at the time of Christ's Second Coming.
9. Just before the Second Coming, there will be many gigantic changes on the surface of the earth. The continents and islands will become one land, the mountains will be lowered, the seas will be forced back to the poles, and the earth will be restored to its paradisiacal glory, just as it was before the Fall. The Lord says all of this must occur before the ushering in of the Millennium.
