"Daily Restoration"

Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
All is not lost. We have reliable, visible landmarks that we can use to evaluate our course.
What are the landmarks?
Surely they include daily prayer and pondering the scriptures and using inspired tools like Come, Follow Me. Each day, we can approach the throne of God in humility and honesty. We can ponder our actions and review the moments of our day - considering our will and desires in light of His. If we have drifted, we plead with God to restore us, and we commit to do better.

"Does My Child Need Counseling?"
Focus on helping them heal and grow.
Four Questions
1. Do they have troubling emotions (like worry, depression, anger or shame); troubling ideas (like "God hates me", or "I caused the stock market crash"); or unexplained symptoms (like stomachaches, headaches, or trouble sleeping, focusing, or sitting still.)
2. Have these difficulties gone on for more than a few weeks?
3. Do these emotions, ideas, or symptoms interfere with how they function at school, church, work or in relationships?
4. Do you or others worry that your child feels suicidal?

I listened to "Follow Him." The guest this week was Camille Fronk Olson. I have listened to Sister Olson speak at women's conference only she was Sister Fronk when I heard her. I really enjoyed hearing her again.
James and I left for town around 8:20. Sheri was out running and the boys were still asleep. We knew they would be gone before we got back so I sent Sheri a text asking her to take a picture of the puzzle, the snowman, and a selfie of all three of them. Sheri does all three and I am happy.
I dropped James off at Dr. Hall's office which is behind Walgreen's so he can get his ingrown toenails taken care of. I drive over to Walmart with the intent of doing my weekly shopping. As I got out of the car a gentleman walked passed and told me that the store was closed. It was after 9:00. I know they are doing some remodeling but you would think they would do it at night. They won't be open until 11:00. I decided I am going to go to the Safeway in Pinetop which is about five miles away.
What a pleasant shopping experience! Their produce is beautiful compared to Walmart's. I even found some cheese and spinach stuffed large mushrooms and some fresh cutup pineapple, cantaloupe, and watermelon. James called just as I was looking for the last item on my list, El Pato sauce. I immediately push my basket to the check out line. As I am waiting, third in line, a worker comes up and says he will check me out at the next register. This would NEVER happen at Walmart. As soon as I am checked out I go outside and put my groceries in the car and head back towards Show Low. I pick up James in what used to be called Wagon Wheel which is the strip of highway just outside of Show Low and before you get to Lakeside/Pinetop.
James and I are both hungry so we head for Taco Bell where we switch places before we get in line so that James is driving. I get my two tacos and James gets a burrito supreme and a taco. The cost is $10.56. One the way over this morning we listened to our scriptures and part of the first temple prep lesson. On the way home we listen to "The Slow March of Light."
We stopped at the post office even though there was no one working there because today is President's Day. We did have some mail but nothing really important.
When we get home James brings the groceries in and I put them away. After the groceries are put away I get out Sheri's cake from the freezer and cut myself a piece and sit down on my family room recliner and turn the TV on. I watch an old Hallmark movie starring Paul Campbell and Trisha Helfer, "Sand, Sun, and Romance."
James lies down in the bedroom, complaining that his back hurts. When he gets up he indexes. He has already indexed 5,000 names this year. I do my 20-10 minute routine. 20 minutes on my blog, 10 minutes walking, and 20 minutes on my blog, etc.
The boys put their quilts in the washer which I normally don't do. There was only one sheet off each bed and no pillow cases. Oh well, I forgot to tell them what I wanted to wash. Sheri left me a Dr. Pepper Zero which I really liked. I guess I'm going to have to get some.
After dinner I blogged and walked some more until 7:30 at which time James and I sat down and watched "Aurora Teagarden the Haunted House." I'm not sure how much he liked it but it was fun to spend some time together.
I got 15,000 steps before going to bed. It was very windy today. I never heard from Ginger so I contacted her. She said she had a migraine so I did not send her a new reading assignment. I told her I would pray for her.
