He is our Savior, our Exemplar, and our Redeemer.

James called Elder Miller and Elder Falslev and they came to help him move the couch in that he brought from Darrel and Trina's. It took some moving around but we finally got the couches set up they way we wanted them. James took the old broken loveseat and the corner section of the sectional to the dump. It cost him $12 to dump it. Lame.

More places to set in our family room

James gave the missionaries a loaf of pumpkin bread for helping us today.

James went to the post office today and we had lots of mail. That's because we have not picked it up for a couple of days. I am getting still getting books to sell but this will be the last of them because I have quit buying them.

I texted with Tanna today to see how she was and ask her about the baby. I read to James from "Key Lime Pie" and listened to "Dragon Watch 4" while I walked. At 5 pm we had a Relief Society presidency meeting here at our house. Tamara was the first to arrive and then Kerri and Maxine came together. Kerri gave the opening prayer and then Tamara went over the notes from ward council. The bishop wants all of the sisters to listen to the women's session of general conference and take notes on it. He also said he was going to ask those who came in to tithing settlement if they were working on food storage.

We talked about Ginger and I texted her and got her birthday. She was born in the same year as Tamara and is 55. Now Tamara will give her name to Brother Diewald so he can get her records and then we can assign her ministering sisters.

Kerri brought an HDMI cord and we connected my computer to the TV and brought up the church website and the ministering page where we went to proposed assignments. We made lots of changes which will need Bishop Hunsaker's approval. Our meeting wasn't over until 8:30 when Tamara said the closing prayer.

My new partner is Jean and Chelsea, my neighbor is now one of the sisters I visit.

Tanna's baby, Bradley. He was born the

Restoration Proclamation
P1 S3
By the power of the Father, Jesus rose again and gained the victory over death.

James left for the valley this morning. When he left we had about four inches of snow. By afternoon there was six inches. He fed Luna before he left but since the feed is all covered with snow, I had to feed her again at noon. She was waiting.

I got up this morning and watched "DWTS" since I didn't get to watch it last night. Tonight was villian night. Gross. The best dance with Black Swan by Jenna and Nev. They got the first perfect score. So while Jenna was on top of her game, her husband Val and his partner Monica, the cheerleading coach from Texas, got sent home.

My 7 quarts and 19 pints of chicken went downstairs into the years supply room. I have lots of rice and soup to go with it.

I love days when I can just stay at home and work on my goals. Today was one of those days. I listened to Dragon Watch 4 while walking, worked on my blog, general conference talks, and scriptures. I listened to Book of Mormon Central and Teaching with Power. These really are the saddest chapters in the Book of Mormon, when the Nephite nation comes to an end.

James decided to come home tonight instead of tomorrow. He went to put in bathroom fixtures and the floor people are laying floor so he couldn't do it. Ben did come and help him do some things at the job and also drove all the way out to Darrel's to help James load up the couch they gave us. Darrel and James started taking the couch, which is very heavy, outside. When they did, three neighbors came to help so when Ben got there the couch was already loaded.

Ben says he might come up and help James finish the fence and build the horse stall. He is waiting to go to work for UPS. First he was going to use his car to do deliveries but now his dad wants him to sign up to be his helper on his holiday deliveries. Ben loves the cold weather. I would love to have him come up and stay with us for awhile but he would probably miss his family and his dogs.

Luna's corral was super muddy when I went out to feed her this evening. The sun came out this afternoon and the snow is beginning to melt. We are so grateful for it because we needed the moisture so desperately.

James got here somewhere between 8 and 8:30. He brought me a burro from Burger House which I will save for tomorrow. Ben sent me an indexed Book of Mormon! I am so excited!

I cancelled my Book Arbitrage account and I am not buying any more books. I still have lots of books to sell on Amazon but when they are gone, I am done. This business is not for little sellers like me.

Since James was in the car much of today, I read to him this evening so he could get some steps. I wonder if Charlie will find the moon on this page.

'Let Patience Have Her Perfect Work, And Count It All Joy!'
Elder Jeremy R. Jaggi
When we exercise patience, our faith increases. As our faith increases, so does our joy.

Restoration Proclamation
P1 S2
God the Father has given us the divine birth, the incomparable life, and the infinite atoning sacrifice of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

We woke up to snow this morning, more than I thought we would have. It snowed most of the day today. James built a fire this afternoon. Everything looks so fresh and clean when it is covered with snow. I listened to Inklings, Nourish the Body, regarding food storage. One of the recipes given was a black bean taco with sweet potatoes. When I told James he said it did not sound good to him. I would have liked to try it but not if he doesn't want to.

I put a stew in the crockpot this morning. I knew it was going to be a busy day and I didn't want to have to worry about dinner later in the day. I also made two loaves of pumpkin bread.

This afternoon around 2:30 the Grapp family came over to help me can the 40 lbs. of chicken I bought. The kids played upstairs, except for cute little Malea. I got to hold her and actually put her to sleep on the couch. She finds comfort in sucking her thumb so she is easy to put to sleep. She is not quite three months old.

Thomas began cutting up the chicken and so did Cammy while I put it in the jars. This process didn't take long at all. I ended up with 19 pints and 7 quarts of chicken. We had to make sure the edges of the jars were clean before putting the lids on. Cammy let me use her jars and she also had lids for me. I should pay her for the lids because they are not reusable. I will do that. They brought two pressure canners. We put water in the canners and then Thomas put the lids on. Cammy said she was glad he was here because she doesn't like to do the big canner. We had to wait for the pressure to build to 15 lbs. which took an hour or so. Once it reaches 15 lbs. of pressure you let the chicken cook for an hour and a half. The Grapp's left somewhere between 5 and 5:30. The chicken will not be through cooking until 6:30. We are supposed to be at the Peeler's for "Come Follow Me" at 6:30. We were a few minutes late. It was us, the Peeler's, and the Goodman's. Kathy Crane wasn't feeling well so they didn't come.
When we got home we took the jars of chicken out of the canners. They were still quite hot. All of the cans sealed! I'm excited about adding this much chicken to our food supply. James and I had the stew for dinner. It was delicious. I wish I would have had enough to feed the Grapp's too. My heart is filled with gratitude for the service to us today.
