As the world speaks less of Jesus Christ, let us speak more of Him.

We affirm that God is making known His will for His beloved sons and daughters.

I spent a good deal of time today working on my general conference notebook. I wanted to go visit my friend Jean but when I called she told me she was in the valley.

James and I finished the book, "Devils Food Cake." I think James was a little surprised with the ending. The next book in the series is "Key Lime Pie." I actually did the audio version of this book earlier but I don't remember all of the details so I think I will enjoy reading it this time.

The weather was nice today, lots of sunshine but not too warm and not too cold. The cold weather will be coming next week.

I worked on my Inklings notebook today. I watched the "Nourish the Body" post regarding food storage. Right now we are working on two week menus. I listened to Brother Anthony Sweat talk about Priesthood Covenants. I listened to a sister talk about diligence, one of the attributes of Christ and then sing a song. I watched Inklings Institute with Emily and Rio where we read a conference talk and studied scriptures together. We are making a list of all of the promises to covenant Israel.

I had the opportunity to go out with the missionaries this evening. They invited Tamara to go but she couldn't go so I said I would go. It was a good experience for me. The two elders I met at Ginger's house were two of the missionaries who helped James with the fence.  Ginger is a very nice person and her husband seemed nice too although he is not interested in the gospel as he says he has his own church. At first I thought Ginger was a non-member, but as she told a little of her background I found out she had joined the Church years ago in New Mexico. She has actually been through the temple although she is no longer married to the person she was sealed to. She has seven children and none of them are really interested in the Church. Ginger said this is a good time for her because she only has to worry about herself. The missionaries assigned her to read about the Savior's visit to the Nephites beginning in 3 Nephi 11. She asked for a "Come Follow Me" manual and I told her I have one that she can have. She made the comment that it was ashame that we couldn't attend church. I told her we have been attending for a few weeks now. I invited her this Sunday and told about Talon's mission report. She said she didn't know anyone and I told her that she knew me and I would meet her on the north side of the building before nine on Sunday morning. She agreed and we exchanged phone numbers. Ginger and her husband have two homeless children living with them right now and she wanted to know about any Halloween activities in Vernon. I told her I would bring her the information I had on Sunday. I really like Ginger and I feel like her intentions are honorable. She is a good person.

Cammie Grapp and her kids made a delivery this evening when I got back from Ginger's. I ordered a 40 lb box of chicken breasts for $57.
Cammy delivered it tonight and I cleared a place in the refrigerator for it. Cammy said she would come on Monday with her canners and bottles and help me can the chicken. I appreciate her so much!

Happy Birthday Dave Lambson!
