Jared Ammon, Dobis, and Joshua.

"The sealing power reveals itself in family relationships, in attributes and virtues developed in a nurturing environment, and in loving service.  These are the cords that bind families together, and the priesthood advances their development."
-James E. Faust

I spent the morning at the DMV.  I was last there on March 18th to apply for a new driver's license since I lost my original.  They gave me a temporary license and said I should receive my new license within 15 days.  I never received it.  My mistake was having it sent to Vernon instead of Chandler.  This time I had it sent to Chandler.  I was there almost two hours and was ready for some lunch when I got home.  James was ready to and wanted to take me out.

We went to the Firehouse subs on Germann and Gilbert.  I had one of their under 500 calories subs, the salsa verdie turkey.  I liked the turkey but they needed to put more green chilies on.  While there I saw on the TV that no fans were allowed at the Orioles game because of the riots caused by the death of a black man, Freddie Gray.  Freddie died while riding in the back of a police car.  The world is crazy right now.

After lunch I was craving something sweet so I talked James into going to Kneader's drive thru for dessert.  It worked because I told him I would read to him from our new book:

The sequel to a book we read a month or two ago called:
"A Lady's Honor."
The Trelawny family legacy continues.

Anyway, back to Kneaders.  James got a double fudge brownie and I got a chocolate éclair.  So much for my low calorie lunch.

James put up a new mailbox today.  Someone hit the last one backing up in James's truck.  We still haven't figured out who did it.  No one seems to want to confess.  This afternoon he took Alex to do some work at Jerod Bowen's.

Paul put on his uniform and declared war on the leaves today.  His mom said he looked like a well-nourished terrorist.  Stacy thought it was ironic because he has a Captain America shirt on.

Joshua chillin' at the Arizona
Grand Resort.

I was up early with a surprise in my mouth as I take a bite of the second Big Hunk bar I bought yesterday.  I lost my upper right, second from the last crown.  Oh dear, I knew there was a reason not to eat Big Hunks.  Around 5:30 I slipped out to Walmart to get some dental adhesive.  James waited for me to get back before he left for work so he could help me re-insert my crown.  The adhesive did not work.  I was frustrated.  I got another adhesive at Walgreens and it didn't work either.  Dr. Douglas isn't in her office today so I will have to wait until next week to get it replace but in the meantime I have to figure something out or I will have crooked teeth.
The great city of London.
I arrived a little early at the Arizona Arthritis and Rheumetology Center for my infusion appointment.  I wanted to make a doctor's appointment, which I did for May 9th with Tiffany.  I certainly hope this Remicade infusion helps me with the pain in my knees.  I was there for over two hours.
On my way home James called and asked me if I would go by Elmer's and pick up some lunch, which I did.  Two machaca burros and two machaca tacos.  We ate lunch together at home, and then I went out to do some errands while James went back to work.
Here is an interesting lunch.
Redneck Calamari.
I went to the Oreck store and bought some pre-treatment spray for the carpet and ended up spending over $50.  I stopped at Karen Schneider's for Beanie Babies and games.  She's moving and is getting rid of the things she doesn't want or need. She also has a bedroom set and some couches and chairs she wants to sell.  I would love to have them, especially the bed, so I told her to figure out a price and let me know.  Next I went to Deseret Book to get me a new General Conference and Stake Conference journal.
I went back home to take a nap before leaving for home, but my knees hurt too badly so I got up an packed.  I had Stacy and Joshua help me carry my things upstairs.  Joshua was so cute, he carried out three bags of garbage. I said goodbye and went to Sam's Club for gas and CVS for more adhesive.  I also went to Kneader's for dinner, a chicken salad croissant and a chocolate eclair.  Boy that eclair was good!
Saw this car at the temple yesterday.
It made James, Kim, and I laugh.

A truck and trailer almost ran me off the road on the way home.  I am so grateful that someone was looking after me.  It shook me up for quite awhile.  James was about thirty minutes behind me.
We went to bed as soon as we unloaded and put things away.  My right knee hurt so badly I slept on the recliner after James gave me one of his pain pills.  He came and slept by me.  What a sweetie.

There is a big Young Single Adult Conference going on at ASU this weekend.  Jeffrey and Patricia Holland, Mitt and Ann Romney, Sheri Dew, Brooke White, and Danny White are a few of the Mormon celebrities coming.  I wish Adam, Jared, and Dallin would go but as it does out, none of them did.  I would like to have gone!

Today would have been my grandpa Albert Alexander Strickland's 125th birthday.  That's not too old according to biblical standards.  Abraham was 140 years old and still having children!

Sheri and Evan picked me up this morning and we all went to Rowan and Evan's soccer game together.  I also got to see Trina, Ruby and Rowan.  Ruby sat on my lap during most of the game. I missed seeing Addy, she was at dance lessons. While I was at the game James took my car to Erik's house for him to look at.  He came to the conclusion that the reason my check engine light is coming on is because I need a new gas cap.  Wow!  I am so relieved that it's something that simple.  Sheri said the same thing happened to her.

After the game Evan wanted Rowan to come home with him but Rowan has his first piano lesson today, which means he can't come over until this afternoon. Evan was a little grumpy when Sheri and I stopped at Kneader's for breakfast.  We both got omelets and Evan had the pancakes but he didn't eat much.  He said he wasn't in the mood for something sweet.

I got back to Chandler and packed up to go home.  James had already left and was going by the job in Scottsdale at Troon North.  He had told he was going home the Payson way so I decided to go through Globe and stop at Burger House and get some burros.  Just as I was getting on the 60 from the 202 he called and said he was going the Globe way.  Well it was too late for me to turn back but I told him he got stop and get the burros.  As it turned out I stopped too and waited for him in the parking lot while I took a short nap.  That mixed green burro sustained me all the way home.  It's the last thing I ate before starting my fast.  I made a stop at Safeway in Show Low for grapes and coleslaw.  I realized after I got home they charged me double for the grapes so James called and told them.  All we have to do is go in Monday and give them our receipt.
When we get home we unpack and then James layers my hair a little in the back before I take a shower.  While I'm taking my shower he watches "Person of Interest."  I told him to watch it without me because I've decided it's too violent for me.  We watch "Elementary" and a Hallmark movie: "Puppy Love."  James agrees that out of all three, Puppy Love was the best.  He's leaving the dark side and coming into the light!
