Tom came to me for some loving this morning, and then he wanted to go outside. Typical.

James is the priesthood protection at the Relief Society sewing activity at the church with Terry Tignor. He got home around noon and we had chili for lunch.

This afternoon I paid two Lambson Construction bill and the rent on our post office box. We also went to Dollar General for drinks and drove past Joe Vaal's house. James is wondering what's going to happen to it. It was a nice day but a little windy.

James helped me with the pantry this evening. It's hard for me to reach up on the high shelves with my arms the way they are.
Afterwards we walked and read "Finding Jane Fairfax."

I gave James a haircut before his shower. He looks great!

Tom sleeps at the end of our bed.

Tom loves his treats, his food, not so much.

I had an appointment at Barnett-Delaney-Perkins to have my eyes checked today. James drove me to town and then went to Walmart to see if he could get the oil changed in the car if it wasn't too busy. He also went to Home Depot to look at shower doors for his Mom.

I was wrong about which eye I had the yag surgery on. The assistant looked up the surgery which was done last year on February 20th, and said it was done on the left eye. I said I was sure it was the right. I looked it up on my blog only to find that she was right. The surgery was done on my left eye.

Dr. Palmer, said my right eye is more cloudy and my left eye is too. He said I needed the Yag surgery and also I needed to use eye drops three times a day. I have an appointment on the 23rd to come back and setup my Yag surgery.

Dr. Palmer remembers Jared from optometry school. He was asking me all kinds of questions about him, like why he moved to El Paso and now lives in east Texas. I tried to answer him as best I could without giving too many details. I said he was now happily married and very active in the Church. When I got home I told Jared about Dr. Palmer but failed to give him his first name. Jared remembered a Dr. Matthew Palmer and said he was a great guy and just got released as a bishop. I began to think that maybe we were talking about different Dr. Palmer's so I looked up my Dr. Palmer and his first name is Bryce. Oops.

James went to Home Depot and looked at shower doors for his mom's bathroom remodel. He didn't find what he wanted. He also stopped by Walmart to see about getting an oil change but the line was too long. He promised me he would change the oil in the valley on Monday. He was waiting for me outside when I finished my appointment.

We had lunch at LaCasita. We both had chicken enchiladas, mine with red sauce and his with green. He also got a side of refried beans. I resisted. We had chips and salsa but we both agreed the salsa wasn't up to snuff. It was way too watery.

I told James there was a BoGo deal at Dairy Queen. Buy one and get one free. I ordered two Blizzards on my app, a brownie one for James and an Oreo for me. Afterwards we said we shouldn't have done it. Yeah, right.

I worked on the pantry for awhile this afternoon. It's coming along, slowly.

I printed the pages for my Inklings notebook, lots of them, now I just need the pink notebook I ordered to come.

Joshua and Ruby had a track meet today. I am so proud of these two!

Listened to "Finding Jane Fairfax" with James. Tom came in late tonight but at least he spent the night inside. He's a little roustabout.

Watched Inklings this morning. I am excited about this years study on key of the priesthood and the 109th section of the Doctrine and Covenants.

My left arm is still out of commission. I managed to one handedly prepare a frozen pizza for lunch though. I wanted to get back on my schedule today but obviously that isn't going to happen.

James and I watched an Up movie today that was so good.  Melissa Sue Gilbert and Corbin Bernsen are the grandparents of two girls that were dropped off by their mother at their house as she goes to New York to seek a career in the music industry. She never comes back. The girls father is in the army and is fighting in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He winds up being killed so the girls are raised by these two grandparents. It is funny, serious and so touching. I loved it and saved it on my DVR. The movie is called "When We Last Spoke."

The weather was beautiful today with the high around 70 degrees. I think spring is finally here. It's 90 degrees in the valley so I am glad we are here instead of there.

We started a new book this evening. It's called, "Finding Jane Fairfax."

James had a presidency meeting this evening. We made a quick trip to Dollar General before his meeting. I was going to drop him off at the church on the way home until Chuck called and said Collin was going to be 15 minutes late. James was happy so he could go home and change is clothes and freshen up.

Today is Jeffrey Maxwell's 33rd birthday and Dennis & Denise's anniversary. I still remember my mom standing is as Dennis's best "man" at their wedding outside in Greer.

James picked up the tile for downstairs today at Home Depot. He had to wait for an hour and a half for them to bring it out of the back. Once he got home it was hard to unload the tile because it is so heavy. He couldn't have done it without the dolly he bought at Harbor Freight the other day. Well he could have, it would have just taken him much longer to get it all downstairs. He also hauled the old carpet to the dump.

My left arm is unusable right now. It is so frustrating especially since the contents of my pantry are sitting out all over the kitchen.

James got the last of is drafting tools in the mail today so he is going like crazy on the Applegate plans.

James went over to Collin Dewitt's house this morning to check on his job progress. They discussed the meeting they are having tonight with the Relief Society presidency to schedule conference talks for the next six months. James asked Collin what time the meeting was scheduled for and Collin told him 7 o'clock.

The meeting started at 6:00. When James didn't show Chuck tried to call him. I guess Collin was late and Chuck called him and Collin tried to call James at 6:45. James got in the last five minutes of the meeting and convinced everyone that the first talk should be President Nelson's on the week that I teach. Yay!

I made an appointment with Barnett-Delaney-Perkins to have my eyes checked. It's on Friday.

Watched the seasoner opener of "When Calls the Heart." Used to be my favorite show but not so much now. I would say "The Way Home" is my favorite.

Stacy and Paul had a little miracle today. Paul remembered Elder Bowen's talk from conference and he said we should ask for and expect miracles. Paul prayed for a miracle. He prayed about the dryer and received a prompting to put it back together. He questioned it because it definitely wasn't working but he did it anyway. When he got it put back together he turned it on and it worked. It's a small miracle but one they needed it right now.

James left for the valley this morning to go check out his jobs and to get some money to Armando. Neither one of us can send money via Venmo right now. James called to complain and they said our accounts were fine but there was a review block on them which was done by their mother company, Paypal. Paypal is the bane of our existence.

I felt a little better today and was able to do some work on the pantry. I called AARA (Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates).
I explained that I had an appointment next Monday and I wanted to make sure they had me down to receive my new medication, simponi aria. I was told I would receive a call back, which I did. I am scheduled to receive my first dose of the new medicine next Monday, April 15, at 10:15 a.m. I am excited!

I made two blog posts today which I need to do consistently everyday for at least a week for me to get caught up. I wonder if I ever will get caught up?

I read from my book, "The Savior in Kirtland" and I can say I am really enjoying it. So much I didn't know about this period of time and about some of the major players in the Restoration, such as Sidney Rigdon. I had always thought he was a little arrogant but I have a whole new appreciation for him after reading about him in this book.

I read the first 33 verses of D&C 109. President Nelson has asked us to study this section of the Doctrine and Covenants.

James came home this evening and brought me two mixed green chili burros from Burger House and a turtle Blizzard from Dairy Queen. I ate half of one of the burros and all of the melted Blizzard. Very tasty!

James walked and we listened to "Finding Jane Fairfax".

This is me!
