Tom loves his treats, his food, not so much.
I had an appointment at Barnett-Delaney-Perkins to have my eyes checked today. James drove me to town and then went to Walmart to see if he could get the oil changed in the car if it wasn't too busy. He also went to Home Depot to look at shower doors for his Mom.
I was wrong about which eye I had the yag surgery on. The assistant looked up the surgery which was done last year on February 20th, and said it was done on the left eye. I said I was sure it was the right. I looked it up on my blog only to find that she was right. The surgery was done on my left eye.
Dr. Palmer, said my right eye is more cloudy and my left eye is too. He said I needed the Yag surgery and also I needed to use eye drops three times a day. I have an appointment on the 23rd to come back and setup my Yag surgery.
Dr. Palmer remembers Jared from optometry school. He was asking me all kinds of questions about him, like why he moved to El Paso and now lives in east Texas. I tried to answer him as best I could without giving too many details. I said he was now happily married and very active in the Church. When I got home I told Jared about Dr. Palmer but failed to give him his first name. Jared remembered a Dr. Matthew Palmer and said he was a great guy and just got released as a bishop. I began to think that maybe we were talking about different Dr. Palmer's so I looked up my Dr. Palmer and his first name is Bryce. Oops.
James went to Home Depot and looked at shower doors for his mom's bathroom remodel. He didn't find what he wanted. He also stopped by Walmart to see about getting an oil change but the line was too long. He promised me he would change the oil in the valley on Monday. He was waiting for me outside when I finished my appointment.
We had lunch at LaCasita. We both had chicken enchiladas, mine with red sauce and his with green. He also got a side of refried beans. I resisted. We had chips and salsa but we both agreed the salsa wasn't up to snuff. It was way too watery.
I told James there was a BoGo deal at Dairy Queen. Buy one and get one free. I ordered two Blizzards on my app, a brownie one for James and an Oreo for me. Afterwards we said we shouldn't have done it. Yeah, right.
I worked on the pantry for awhile this afternoon. It's coming along, slowly.
I printed the pages for my Inklings notebook, lots of them, now I just need the pink notebook I ordered to come.
Joshua and Ruby had a track meet today. I am so proud of these two!
Listened to "Finding Jane Fairfax" with James. Tom came in late tonight but at least he spent the night inside. He's a little roustabout.
