Jesus Christ, Redeemer
Alma 5:27
Have ye walked, keeping yourselves blameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that e have been sufficiently humble? That your garments have been cleansed and made white through the blood of Christ, who will come to redeem his people from their sins?

How do we react to our afflictions? Do we feel thankful because we are more focused on our blessings than on our problems?
Diligence
Diligence is steady, consistent, earnest, and energetic effort in doing the Lord's work. The Lord expects you to work diligently - persistently and with great effort and care. A diligent missionary works effectively and efficiently. Diligence in missionary work is an expression of your love for the Lord and His work. When you are diligent, you find joy and satisfaction in your work.
Inklings
Affirmation:
I stand firm and immovable against the storms of the adversity. I trust in my God and my Savior upon which my foundation is built.
I listened to Anthony Sweat this morning on Inklings and was blown away. He talked about the meaning of endowment and priesthood. He said, "Endowment is not a ceremony, Priesthood is not an office.
Endowment is a capacity and Priesthood is an order." In D&C 88:119 it says: Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, and house of order, a house of God.
I also listened to Emily on Inklings talk about the scriptures and the conference talk we were supposed to be studying this week.
What are the affects of erosion, gaps, and instability in my life?
Even the very elect will be deceived. I don't want to be deceived!
We need to be stronger to withstand harder. Strong, resilient, strengthened. How dedicated am I? What are my extraordinary measures? How firm is my foundation? Points to ponder.
James tried to order two tires for my car at Walmart this morning but he never could get through. He has his first radiation treatment today at 1:30 and we wanted to get the tires done at the same time while I was shopping. He dropped me off at Walmart at 12:15 and said he needed to return something at Home Depot. I thought he would go by the tire shop before going to Home Depot but he did not. I got a call from him about 30 minutes into my shopping asking me to drop him off at the cancer center. I didn't have time to check out so I found an out of the way place to park my basket full of groceries and went out to the parking lot. After dropping James off I hurried back to Walmart and finished my shopping and checked out. I then drove to the Cancer Center and waited in the parking lot. When he comes out he wants to go to LaCasita because he has not eaten all day. He did have 32 ounces of water before his treatment, which is required.
When we are finished eating James says he needs to get something at Lowe's so again I wait in the car for him. Later I asked if he had ordered the tire and , "No, he had not!" I guess we will have to try again next week.
This evening I walked and listened to "Married To an Earl," and watched Nadiya's baking show which I discovered on Netflix. I told Sheri and she was excited. I watched the show while I was blogging. Nadiya looks so cute and has alot of personality! James has to get up earlier than usual tomorrow so we went to bed at 9:30. While I was blogging I decided to go through some of my 5x7 notebooks and start throwing them away, making room for new ones since I use once a month. I found one from 2017 and just turned to a page to read some of my journal which I have since put on my blog. This is from May 10, 2017: We were in the valley staying at Cathi's and Terry's. Cathi tells me something she did to impress Colin, her five year old grandson. She took him outside and used sand, sugar and baking soda and poured lighter fluid over it and lighted it. When she lit the lighter fluid Colin says: "You know this isn't good for the ozone layer. It's because of you old people that the ozone layer is being destroyed." Cathi called Brian, Colin's dad, and he admitted he had told Colin about the ozone. Cathi said to him: "What's your next lesson about? How old people are stealing from Social Security? Cathi is great with the comebacks! I thought this was a funny story and brought back memories of when we stayed with Cathi and Terry.
I can't believe I forgot to post these
on Sunday!
