Patience is the capacity to endure delay, trouble, opposition, or suffering without becoming angry, frustrated, or anxious. It is the ability to do God's will and accept His timing. When you are patient, you hold up under pressure and are able to face adversity calmly and hopefully. Patience is related to hope and faith - you must wait for the Lord's promised blessings to be fulfilled.

Inklings

I opened the curtain to look out the window on our bedroom door

as I do every morning when I get up and today it was snowing.   Snow was sticking on the ground and swirling in the air. The high will be around 45 degrees. 

James finished our taxes today. I wonder if we will ever be able to get our taxes done without asking for an extension.

I read 12 general conference talks today. I only have three more to go. When James and I have scriptures everyday we read from the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants and then we read a section of the "Come Follow Me" lesson. Sometimes we read from Saints and sometimes from Revelations in Context. Today in D&C 115:4 the Lord names His Church, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." Here are some other verses I really liked in D&C 115: "Arise and shine forth, that thy light may be a standard for the nations, (115:5). "And that the gathering together upon the land of Zion, and upon her stakes, may be for a defense, and for a refuge from the storm... (v.6).

James made a trip to town to get the things he went to get on Saturday when he forgot his wallet. He also got the mail. He picked up the part he ordered from a Amazon for his bathroom faucet. My part of the mail was Wilton food coloring, 3 5x7 notebooks, and a card kit. I love getting packages in the mail!

I started a pot of white beans in the crockpot today. After eating a pot pie for dinner James said he was still hungry. He had a bowl of beans which won't be completely cooked until tomorrow and said he loved them. It doesn't take much to make him happy.

Tonight was Disney Villains night on "DWTS." At the end of the show two couples went home, Lindsay and Matt James who is a former Bachelor and Brian and Sharna. Both of these couples were at the bottom of the leader board.

I change our Dish programming today so I could get the new channel GAC Great American Country/Christmas. The kids are going to love it because Silver Spoons, I Dream of Jeannie, and Bewitched are all on this channel.
