Christlike Attributes
#5
Knowledge
The Lord commanded, "Seek learning, even by study and also by faith" (D&C 88:118). He also warned, "It is impossible for a man to be saved in ignorance" (D&C 131:6). Seek knowledge, especially spiritual knowledge. Study the scriptures every day, and also study the words of the living prophets. Through study and prayer, seek help for your specific questions, challenges, and opportunities. Give special attention to scripture passages you can use as you teach and as you answer questions about the restored gospel.
Inklings
I left for Show Low at 9 this morning. James left around 5 because he's going to work. I'm going to my infusion at 1:30 but I have to make some stops in Show Low first. I got behind a travel trailer along with a dozen other cars. He could have pulled over and let us pass, but he didn't.
These are the stops I made in Show Low: Goodwill, Circle K for gas and Cherry licorice Nibs. The UPS store to return some colored pencil leads I bought on Amazon and they didn't work. Pet Sense to see Candace S. and take her a birthday gift. I did get to see Candace and give her a gift. I also got her cell phone number. I minister to Candace and she is very difficult to visit because she is never home. Now I know I can visit her at work if she is not home.
On the way to the valley I listened to "Follow Him", "Don't Miss This" and on the way home I listened to "Unshaken", all my favorite "Come Follow Me" podcasts.
I left Show Low a little after 10 for Heber, Payson, and Mesa. I arrived at the AARA for my infusion a couple of minutes before 1:30 and Frances called me back as soon as I sat down. Ang started my infusion and I was set for an hour. I watched Adam Lambert on the Drew Barrymore Show. After Drew the Kelly Clarkson show was on. Kelly certainly has the gift of gab. These are shows I never watch at home but I enjoyed watching them today.
I was finished at 2:30 and drove to Sheri's to return her silver friendship ring (Nancy has one too), that she left at the cabin. I got to hug Ben while I was there. He said he would like to work with grandpa and I told James I found his assistant for him. Sheri and Ben got back from Utah at 12:15 this morning.
I left for home a little after 3. James is about 40 minutes behind me. I stopped at the Dairy Queen in Payson for dinner. I think this was a mistake because not only did I order a dinner, but I also got a strawberry, chocolate blizzard which was oh so yummy but oh not so good for me.
On to Vernon. I got a call from Barbara S. saying she didn't want to go tomorrow on the errand we had planned because it was going to snow. I was a little relieved because when I'm gone one day I like to stay home the next.
James came home 40 minutes after I did. I was walking and watching "Dancing with the Stars." It's Disney Hero night.
