But deliver thou, O Jehovah, we beseech thee, thy servants from their hands, and cleanse them from their blood.

"In the Book of Mormon, Abish was converted by her father's sharing with her his remarkable vision. For many years thereafter, she kept her testimony in her heart and lived righteously in a very wicked society. The the time came when she could no longer be still, and she ran from house to house to share her testimony and the miracles she had witnessed in the king's court. The power of Abish's conversion and testimony was instrumental in changing an entire society. The people who heard her testify became a people who "were converted unto the Lord, and never did fall away," and their sons became the stripling warriors!" - Sister Elain Dalton, October 2011 General Conference.

James had his concrete pour at Hipps's today and he had some very good help. Bishop gave him the names of some guys who live on the reservation that are concrete finishers. Anthony Yazzie, Raymond Begay, and Jerome Stanley. James was very happy with their work. He fed them the watermelon we bought yesterday. It was so good they said they were going to Walmart to get one before they went home.

It started to rain a little at Hipps's so James went over and covered the concrete up with plastic. He said he was glad that he did. He had just enough plastic to cover the entire floor.

James received payment from Brother Hipps for $17,000 which will cover 1/3 of the contract. It's nice to have some money in our account even if it's only for a short time.

With Stacy's three dogs here we have been confining Tom to the bedroom and outside. He seems to be fine with it. Once in awhile you can hear the dogs barking. He wakes up, looks around, and goes back to sleep.

Joshua said there was a bat flying around upstairs last night when the light was out. I told him that's why we keep the lights on in the common area. I told him we also keep the bedroom doors shut so the bat doesn't get in the bedroom.

I read something about bats today. I read that if you want to get one out of your house that you turn off all of the lights, turn a light on outside and open the door. We tried it this evening but we weren't willing to sit in the dark with the door open long enough to see if it would work. I hate so much having a bat in my house. James says he needs to caulk all of the cracks which means climbing on very high ladders. Why can't we just call a bat exterminator.

Stacy and I went to Safeway this afternoon. It was crowded so we got our job done quickly. I saw my friend Janice Nickolaus from high school. We also saw a Tesla car that looks like this one in the parking lot.

We got stuff for dinner tonight. We are eating together.

James saddled up the horses and he rode Apollo while Joshua rode Luna. After they went around the field Joshua also rode Apollo. Stacy rode Luna but she couldn't make her mind. Luna just kept going back to the stable. James said part of it may have been that Stacy wasn't sure how to control her. I think Luna tests the person who is riding her and if she doesn't think they are in control, she takes advantage of them. James wants me to ride with him but I'm not sure I can handle Luna.

Stacy told me a cute story about something Joshua and Alayna did for a date. They watched the movie "Chicken Run" and then after it was over they used the recipe the movie gave to make homemade chicken pot pie. Stacy helped them and she said the pie was delicious. Such a cute date idea!

Stacy cooked the steaks this evening for dinner while I did the side dishes. We had steak, rice pilaf, garlic knots and green beans. Everything was delicious.

While Stacy worked on my puzzle today we finished watching one episode of Hailey Dean. She said she probably wouldn't finish the puzzle and I told her that was fine because I would although it may take me awhile.

I looked up my parents sealing on Family Search today. They were sealed in the Anchorage, Alaska temple on June 19, 2010. I do not know who submitted their information but I have a feeling it was my dad's cousin, Norman Fish who has now past on. My question is, is the sealing valid since they were not married at the time of their passing. I guess I need to ask on of our family history consultants.

And whatsoever city thy servants shall enter, and the people of that city receive not the testimony of thy servants, and thy servants warn them to save themselves from this untoward generation, let it be upon that city according to that which thou hast spoken by the mouths of thy prophets.

Notes & Quotes:

p. 100
Choose to bring about God's will and help people overcome the effects of the Fall.

Tom went out at 4 this morning and came by in at 5. He eats, drinks, plays, gets brushed and then goes to sleep.

James and I had family prayer, scriptures, Come Follow Me, and listened to a conference talk together.

We made a trip to town together. We mailed Lola's birthday card, stopped at Allegra Printing to pick up Greg Hatch's plans, and Walmart and Home Depot. James bought an electric weed eater at Home Depot and then he came over to Walmart to pick out a watermelon.

On the way home we stopped at Culver's for some lunch and then Tractor Supply for horse feed. Before James went in I handed him a hundred dollar bill. He says he put it in his shirt pocket. When he came out with the horse feed I asked him how much he spent and could I please have my change. Then he dropped a bomb. He said he lost the hundred dollar bill and paid with the credit card.

After loading the horse feed James went back into the store to look for the money. I began looking in the car. We looked and looked and looked. No money. I can't believe it just disappeared. Poor James, he feels terrible.

Tom was outside when we got home. He came in, went upstairs and then came back down and laid down with me.

James mowed and edged the lawn. He came in and said he loves the new edger. It started raining when he finished. Perfect timing. Tom was sitting with me and woke up when he heard some thunder. He was a little scared.

James and I went downstairs to put sheets on the bed and vacuum and make sure there were fresh towels. Stacy, Paul and Joshua are coming tonight. I also did a quick clean upstairs.

Our company arrived: Stacy, Paul, Joshua, Shipley, Sofie, and Vader around 9 p.m. Stacy was excited. She said they saw about 60 elk bedded down just down by Pierre's. She said their eyes were shining and it looked like Christmas lights.

The dogs are happy to be here and Sofie is so at home she doesn't even bark at me anymore.

The blessings of rain. The fire restrictions have been lifted just in time for all of the 4th of July campers. Everything is beautiful and green and there is plenty of feed and water for the wildlife.
