Jesus Christ Baptism of
John 1:32
And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him.
Book of Mormon
Mosiah 3:19-4:3
*What can I do to more fully yield "to the enticings of the Holy Spirit"?
- I can do the things that King Benjamin listed in Mosiah 3:19:
Become as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon me, even as a child doth submit to his father.
Old Testament
Joshua 13-14
13 There remain some lands yet to be possessed - Some inhabitants are not expelled - The inheritances of Reuben, Gad, and one half of Manasseh are confirmed.
14 The land is divided by lot among 9 1/2 tribes - Caleb inherits Hebron as a special reward for his faithfulness.
Old Testament Favorite Scripture
Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
General Conference
Young Women in the Work
Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson
" Every young woman in the Church should feel valued, have opportunities to serve, and feel that she has something of worth to contribute to this work."

What should I pray for? Alma 13:28
But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on His holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering;

I got up at 4:47 to work on my Primary lesson. I got a little distracted when I was making wordstrips and I couldn't find my ruler because the drawer where I keep it was so messy, so I ended up cleaning out the drawer. Luckily I still had enough time to finish up my lesson on Jacob and Esau.

My clean drawer. I wonder how
long it will stay that way.

James always helps me carry in my supplies when we get to the church and he helps me set up my classroom. It certainly would be a lot harder to fulfill my calling without him.

James and I came home from town yesterday afternoon around 12:30 and started our fast. We had a prayer to start. We are fasting and praying for moisture. There is a forecast of three months of drought but our land is in dire need of some moisture before the fire season begins at the end of May. We would hope that when we open our weather app and look at the two weeks forecast there will be some sign of moisture.

Dave, the guy we sold the water trailer to says there is a hole in it and it won't hold water. James assured him that he would pay to get it fixed. This is not good news as it may cost hundreds of dollars. Something else to pray for.

I bore my testimony in our fast and testimony meeting today. I felt prompted to share two examples of how general conference has helped me in the past year. The first example was regarding President Nelson's challenge in the April 2017 conference regarding studying the life of Christ using the 57 topical headings in the Bible's Topical Guide. There are many scriptures under these 57 headings. I am reading one a day. This has helped me to more fully appreciate the Savior's life and all he has done for me.
The second example was from the October 2017 conference. I shared with them how I read each conference talk each month and March was the sixth month in the cycle. James and I fasted for better health in March and Sunday afternoon after we broke our fast I was thinking about what I could do to improve my health. At the same time I was looking at the Ensign and read from the section Conference Notes, a summary of Sister Joy D. Jones's talk. A quote jumped out at me and touched my heart. This is the quote.
"If the love we feel for the Savior and what He did for us is greater than the energy we give to weaknesses, self-doubts, or bad habits, then He will help us over the things which cause suffering in our lives. He saves us from ourselves."
The thought came to me, which do I love more, the Savior or my Dr. Pepper 10. That thought, along with the promise that the Lord will help me, propelled me to action. I drank my last Dr. Pepper 10 and offered a prayer of help from the Lord so that I could improve my health. I have not had a soda of any kind for over a month. I know I could not have done this alone because I have tried before.
I will be eternally grateful to Sister Jones and hope that someday I can meet her and thank her. (Trina is good friends with her daughter, and has met Brother and Sister Jones.)

This month I am giving up sweets. At the end of the month I will re-evaluate how I want to handle sweets for the rest of my life.

These are the children who attended my Primary class today:
Liana, Andyn, Gracie, Colter, Kacey, Curtis, and Zemira. The last three are from the older class. Their teacher didn't show up.
In our lesson Esau is angry because of the deception that went on when Isaac gave Jacob his blessing. He says he is going to slay Jacob when he is through mourning the death of his father.
Jacob is sent away to choose a wife from his mother's brother's family. He is gone for 20 years. When he returns he bows down to Esau and offers him gifts. Esau says he needs no gift and he meets him, embraces him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept. (Genesis 33:4). This was my favorite part of the lesson.

I am doing away with my Primary Treasure Box. It has been good for Liana and Andyn but Colter just can't deal with the fact that he doesn't get anything because he doesn't do the work. I let him have something from the Treasure Box 2 because he says I "owed him for a time he did a paper." I have no recollection but I told him he could choose something anyway. I will do it this next week and that's it. Not a good spirit, too much contention...not what I wanted it to do.

After the block Chuck Crane asked to meet with us. Next week I will have a new calling. I am not going to say what it is until after next Sunday. In a way I am excited for a change but I will so miss my dear sweet Primary children whom I have grown to love.

We got home, broke our fast, and had lunch and our naps. I laid down on the recliner and tried to listen to a talk by President Nelson from 1989 but I fell asleep so I will have to listen to it again tomorrow.

Stacy called me because she was lonely and hungry. I wish I was there to help her. She said Paul went to Church today and that Joshua bore his testimony. It went something like this:
" I'd like to share a story with you about something that
happened to me this week.
I was at scouts the other night and we were reciting the
scout law and oath. My scout leader told me to
slow down and listen for the meaning of the words and
I would feel reverent. I thought to myself, how can I feel reverent?
Today during the sacrament I decided to slow down and to listen
to the words. I felt a feeling of reverence and I know
that my Savior and Heavenly Father love me."

What a sweet testimony. I hope he is able to keep it strong. I remember when Dallin used to bear his testimony every fast Sunday.

This evening I helped James get on Family Search. He started to enter our children and their spouses and came up with two Stacy's and couldn't get rid of one of them and I couldn't figure out how to do it either. Merging didn't work and there was no place to edit. Both Stacy's have the same ID number. We tried the help center but they weren't much help. Family Search is doing upgrades so I told him we should try again tomorrow and maybe we would get to talk to a live person. I am sad he had such a frustrating experience.

I asked for help with doing endowments for several names we have. Jared and Sheri responded. Thanks to them!

Today is James's sister Rebecca's birthday. He sent her a message on Facebook and then was afraid she wouldn't see it so he texted Brent because he didn't have Rebecca's number. He remembers that she was born on Easter Sunday and after his Dad went to visit her and his mom in the hospital in Gallup he came back and took all of the kids on a picnic. He says he loves that memory.

I got a text from Hailey today who moved to New Mexico. I was her visiting teacher and she thanked me for always coming to visit her even though she lived on a horrible road. She said the Church needs more "Sister Lambsons." She mad my day.

My friend Sandra asked for the quote I mentioned in my testimony so I sent her Sister Jones's quote.

Channy Arnett's daughter got married in Queen Creek yesterday and we were invited. Although I have never met her daughter I am sorry we couldn't go because I absolutely love the Arnett's.

Channy's daughter Shandra and
her husband.

This was taken on Saturday
during a soccer game.
This is Jared's post, obviously.

Our friends the Lueck's.
There kids have grown up!

Wow! Our friend Betty as a teenager!

I love the Arizona desert in the spring.
When we were down last week it still
hadn't bloomed. Is that because of the drought?

This is the bookmark I received from
the stake Primary presidency. I
sent it to Stacy today because of
Joshua's testimony.

Jesus Christ Baptism of
Mark 10:38
But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
Book of Mormon
Mosiah 3:1-18
*How does Mosiah 3:7 help you understand the Savior's mission? What are your feelings as you think about what the Savior has done for you?
- Recognizing my Savior and seeing what He did for me and renewing my covenants each week at the Sacrament table keep my remembrance of Him in my mind each day. I love the Savior.
Old Testament
Joshua 11-12
11 Joshua and Israel conquer the whole land, destroying many cities and nations.
12 Two kings on the east of the Jordan and thirty-one on the west are conquered by Israel.
General Conference
"One More Day"
Taylor G. Godoy
" We all have a today to live, and the key to making our day successful is to be willing to sacrifice."

As I was studying the Preach My Gospel today this question struck me: "Do my actions fulfill my prayers?" p. 95
What should I pray for?
Alma 6:6 - Nevertheless the children of God were commanded that they should gather themselves together oft, and join in fasting and mighty prayer in behalf of the welfare of the souls of those who knew not God.
I told James he should figure out how many rabbits he is feeding so he went outside and tried to count them. He came back with 8 in the back and 2 in the front. Next step, name them.

Dave, our new neighbor, called during scriptures for the second time this week. He is coming up from the valley to pick up the water trailer he wants to buy. He will have an $1,800 check waiting for us at Robert's Tires in Show Low if we can bring the trailer in. Of course, when I say we, I knew James was going to ask me to go with him.

After picking up the check and dropping off the trailer we drove into town to have lunch at the Subway. There are two Subways in Show Low. I requested we go to the one by the Dollar Tree so I could go in and get some artificial flowers to put in the planters on the front porch. Lame, but maybe the squirrels and rabbits won't eat them.

I listened to four of President Nelson's talks today:
#8. 10/87 "Keys of the Priesthood"
"We must be loyal to the keys we have." President Nelson wrote a song for the end of his talk.
#9. 4/88 "With God Nothing Shall Be Impossible"
"Faith, focus, strength, and courage is required to do the Lord's will. To teach His people the Lord employs the unlikely. Heaven sent lift for Heaven sent duties. Keep an eye single to the glory of God." ( He used the example of two lenses in binoculars coming together to give us complete focus to aligning our lives with the Lord's will.)
#10. 10/88 "Addiction or Freedom"
"There is an epidemic of addiction in the world today; Tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. There is a spiritual prescription for these ailments. Drugs are the modern 'mess of pottage' for which souls are sold. No families are free from risk."
#11. 4/89 "The Canker of Contention"
"John 14:27 - 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the word giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.' His peace is not necessarily political, His peace is personal."

I walked and worked outside this afternoon. I love to hear the wind in the pine trees.

Paul tore his meniscus today while exercising. Now both he and Stacy are bedridden. Kim and Brian went to pick him up at the hospital.

The missionaries from the YSA ward came by to visit Adam. He was taking a nap so they visited with Paul and ended up giving him a blessing. They said they prayed to know where to go.

Sister Julie Berry who was a member of the Vernon ward until she got cancer and had to move to the valley, passed away last night. She had a great testimony and was a dedicated Primary teacher.

I spent the evening preparing for Primary. I also walked and ended up with a total of 17,519 steps, 7.4 miles and burned 545 calories.

For future reference if I can read it.

I loved his dry humor.

James admiring my flowers.

Those are some big butterflies!

Jesus Christ Baptism of
1 Nephi 11:27
And I looked and beheld the Redeemer of the world, of whom my father had spoken; and I also beheld the prophet who should prepare the way before him. And the Lamb of God went forth and was baptized of him; and after he was baptized, I beheld the heavens open, and the Holy Ghost come down out of heaven and abide upon him in the form of a dove.
Book of Mormon
Mosiah 2:28-41
* What similarities do you see in King Benjamin's teachings that are also being taught by modern day prophets and leaders?
- What similarities in King Benjamin's teachings do we see with modern day prophets and apostles? vs. 32 - Beware, lest there be contentions - several talks in recent conferences were given on forgiveness and overlooking each others faults and differences.
In today's world there seems to be a greater need for allowing other to think, act, and be different than we are. Having a difference of opinion doesn't have to end a relationship. vs. 36 - reminded us that if we live contrary to God's teachings, the Holy Ghost won't guide us in wisdom's path... There were several talks given in conference on the importance of the Holy Ghost in our life. Conference is a time for reflection, revelation and redirection...all possible through the Holy Ghost. vs. 40-41 stress the word REMEMBER...Remembering may be one of the most precious gifts the Spirit can give us. vs. 41 Happy state for those who keep the commandments..."Men are that they might have joy." Even when we are in dark times, there is a light and goodness all around when we do what we should. We can and will be happy when we obey God.
The other similarity of both times: The voice of warning shall be unto all people by the mouths of his disciples whom I have chosen in these days.
Old Testament
Joshua 9-10
9 The Gibeonites by craft obtain a league with Israel - Joshua makes them servants to the congregation of Israel.
10 Israel defeats the Amorites and their allies, and the Lord casts stones from heaven upon them - The sun and moon stand still - Many kings and cities are destroyed - The Lord fought for Israel.
General Conference
Meek and Lowly of Heart
Elder David A. Bednar
" Meekness is a defining attribute of the Redeemer and is distinguished by righteous responsiveness, willing submissiveness, and strong self-restraint."

Happy Birthday:

To the Savior and His Latter-day Church.

On the way to the valley, after reading from the Book of Mormon, listening to the two chapters from the Old Testament, and Elder Bednar's conference talk, we listened to three talks given in the past by President Nelson:
April 1986 -#5  "In the Lord's Own Way"
October 1986 -#6  "Life after Life"
April 1987 -#7  "Life after Life"
Here are some notes I took, which is not easy while driving in the car, especially the Salt River Canyon way.
#5 "Our responsibility to care for the poor when we are baptized. Riches will canker our souls. The earth is full and has enough to spare. Rely on self, family, and Church, in that order."
#6 We have reason to find joy because of our relationships with others, our relationship with ourselves, and our relationship with God.
#7 Mary Magdalene was the first person to see a resurrected being. 2,500 saw Him in America. Dust to Dust: Boy looks under bed and tells his mom: "There are alot of people under my bed." The resurrection is performed through the Priesthood. Jesus Christ holds the keys to the Resurrection.
Because of His resurrection we will be resurrected too and can look forward to a joyous resurrection and eternity!

We left the house at 7:09. Our first stop was at Burger House in Miami. Our burros were so messy that it was difficult to eat them in the car. From now on we will take the time to stop and eat in house.
It may have to be on the way home instead of the way there.

I also read to James from "Life Everlasting," and "Ashes on the Moor."

I arrived a little early at AARA so they took me back to the infusion center early. Rosie, the nurse who sends in Dr. Caldron's prescriptions, came in and said she would renew my Tramadol since I was not able to do it online. Someone told me about the AARA website and registering in the patient portal. I told them I didn't know how to do that so Frances, my favorite nurse, went to the front desk and got the information for me to register! Thank you Frances. The only thing negative about this visit was the fact that I thought I had lost 5 lbs and their scale only said I had lost 2 lbs. No more burros before weighing in!

James was waiting to pick me up when I finished my infusion, which took only an hour. He had gone to Chandler Auto Body to get our garage door opener. He said the car looks good and it should be finished by next Friday. Rick is doing some extra work and is giving us a very fair price.

We stopped in at the Costco just across the street from the AARA to get some Alpine Valley bread for James. I had a $4.59 coupon. We divided up and James covered one side of the store while I covered the other. We did not find Alpine Valley bread but James found some made by the bakery, which was delicious. I got some strawberries and a new Anita Stansfield book.

My next stop was Hobby Lobby to get something to use for the centerpiece on the dining room table. James went to El Pollo Loco while I shopped. This is what I came up with:

I bought the two plants. The bird
is Ruby's. We found it on the floor of
the backseat of our car. I love it.
I may have to get her a new one.

I also got this to put in my Primary
Treasure Box:

That light is not supposed to be there.
I am trying to entice the boys to do their
monthly newsletters so they can get a prize.

Next we were going to go visit Stacy and find out where she wanted us to go to bring her and Joshua some dinner. She said she wasn't up for a visit because she can't come downstairs and it was too early for dinner. I told her we would bring something the next time we were here. I called Kim and asked her to check on Kim when she took Joshua home.

We head to Darrel and Trina's to pick up our dirty clothes that we left last week. Ruby answered the door even though it wasn't time for her to be out of school. I guess she has been sick all week. She caught something from Kreed last week when they spent the night at their grandma's house. Ruby gave us a hug and ask if we were staying? She seemed excited to see us, where as Lola just took it in stride. She was eating a ball of cookie dough and drinking a Power-Ade at the table. James went up and got our bag of clothes and we said our goodbye's. Trina told us to text so she would know we made it safely home. Sweet.

We stopped at Jersey Mike's on Baseline and Signal Butte for dinner. I absolutely love Mike's subs!

James stops just outside of Globe so I can drive and he can take a nap. He said he would drive through Salt River but he was still asleep so I did it. He drove again right after the canyon.

When we got home and unloaded and put away I planned my day for tomorrow, worked and my blog, and walked for over 40 minutes listening to the soundtrack from "The Greatest Showman."
I ended up with over 13,000, not bad for someone who spent most of the day sitting in car or a doctor's office. James didn't give up until he got his 20,000.

Discovering Sedona

Wish they would come and see us again.

Do they think the cat is their
mom?

" A prophet does not stand between you and the Savior. Rather, he stands beside you and points the way to the Savior."

Notes from my Gospel Study:

Grace is an enabling and strengthening power. I can do all things in the strength of the Lord. This is such a comfort.

When Christ introduced the sacrament at the Last Supper He was replacing the Passover with the Sacrament.

Mosiah 2:20-22
20 I say unto you, my brethren, that if you should render all the thanks and praise which your whole soul has power to possess, to that God who has created you, and has kept and preserved you, and has caused that ye should rejoice, and has granted that ye should live in peace one with another -
21 I say unto you that if ye should serve him who has created you from the beginning, and is preserving you from day to day, by lending you breath, that ye may live and move and do according to your own will, and even supporting you from one moment to another - I say, if ye should serve him with all your whole souls yet ye would be unprofitable servants.
22 And behold, all that he requires of you is to keep his commandments; and he has promised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you.

Joshua 7:13 - Sanctify yourselves...conquering the land of Canaan by destroying all the people because the Lord commanded it.

Russell M. Nelson, conference talks:
#2. "Protect the Spiritual Powerline", October 1984.
#3. "Reverence for Life," April 1985.
#4. "Self-Mastery," October 1985.
Notes:
" To reach your highest destiny, emulate Christ. Christ was baptized in the lowest elevation of fresh water on the earth...He descended below all things."

Mr. Elkin, our wealthy neighbor, is back in town. He is going to buy James's water trailer which will give us $1,800.
Chuck came over and James signed the letter he wrote to send to the attorney general.

After fixing lunch and eating, I read to James. He took a nap in the bedroom and I took one on the couch where I tried to watch the 2nd episode of "Cranford" on my phone.
I also finished watching Russell M. Nelson, Brilliant Mind, Gentle Heart. I love when he and Wendy are talking about their life together. President Nelson values women. in 1985 he got a computer. When he showed Ardeth Kapp, who was the General Young Women's president, she said she would love to have a computer. The next morning she found one on her desk. I love Ardeth Kapp. I got to visit with her when I went to England. She is a very kind and friendly person and radiates the Spirit of Christ. I feel the same way about Wendy Watson Nelson whom I met at BYU women's conference one year. This is what President Nelson says about Wendy, whom he married in 2006 when his first wife, Dantzel died in 2005: "I love women. I wouldn't be here today without Wendy." Wendy says about Dantzel: "I love Dantzel. Because of her I have the new and improved Russell M. Nelson."
They are true sweethearts and you can just tell how much they love each other.
On April 10-23rd, The Nelson's and the Holland's are touring Europe, Asia, and Africa. How exciting for those people whom they will visit!

I put away most of the Easter decorations today except for the dining room centerpiece. When I go to the valley tomorrow I will get something to replace it.

I took a quick trip with James to town to get a part for his tractor. Of course I read to him. This was not planned, but it was worth it.

This evening I worked on Primary and Children Learning Reading and then James and I watched Elizabeth and Jack get married on "When Calls the Heart."

Jesus Christ Baptism of
Mark 1:9
And it came to pass n those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
Book of Mormon
Mosiah 1:15-2:8
*What are some blessings promised to us if we watch and study General Conference?
- My favorite verse today is 6. it says they pitched their tents round about the temple, every man having his tent with the door thereof towards it. They were ready to listen. Do we have our ears, eyes and hearts turned to the messages we receive in General Conference?
One of the greatest blessings of watching conference that I see mentioned in this block of scripture is an increase in gratitude. I feel so grateful to my Heavenly Father for the sanctuary that General Conference provides. I feel peace, comfort and inspiration.
Old Testament
Joshua 5-6
5 The inhabitants of Canaan fear Israel - The males of Israel are circumcised - Israel keeps the Passover, eats the fruit of the land, and manna ceases - The captain of the Lord's host appears to Joshua.
6 Jericho is taken and destroyed - Only Rahab and her household are saved.
General Conference
"Until Seventy Times Seven"
Elder Lynn G. Robbins
" Amid a life full of stumbling blocks and imperfection, we all are grateful for second chances."

I listened to President Nelson's first conference talk after he was called as an apostle in April 1984. The title: "Call to the Holy Apostleship."  He had April 1984 circled on his calendar for months because it was going to be the first priesthood session of conference that his son would be old enough to attend with him. He was called by President Spencer W. Kimball.

At 4:30 this afternoon I had 12,000 steps and by 6 I had 14,000. I seem to do better walking in the afternoon and evening. James is outside walking trying to catch up with me. He is not used to me being ahead of him.

He has been working on income taxes and is almost finished. Next is the property tax letter to the state attorney general that he and Chuck and Owen are writing. When we first moved here our property taxes were around $1,200 a year. Now they are $2,900 and over 80% of that is for the Vernon school with it's 100 students.

I am worried about James and Stacy, they both say they hurt all the time. That is to be expected from Stacy who is recovering from surgery, but James shouldn't hurt all the time.

Whew! I just finished April firsts blog post...it was a long one what with Easter, general conference, April Fools Day and Darrel's family. Now James and I are watching "When Calls the Heart."

We recorded a program entitled, "President Russell M. Nelson, Brilliant Mind, Gentle Heart" from BYU TV in between Sunday conference sessions. We started watching it this evening. Or rather I watched it while James listened and walked.

President Nelson and his wife Wendy were being interviewed. Wendy said that since he has been called as the prophet the nightly revelations have been more frequent. He said he keeps a notebook by his bed and writes them down. Wendy said they will go to a concert and the next morning while she is fixing breakfast he will sit down at the piano and play a song from the concert. He plays by ear and he has perfect pitch when he sings.
They love to do jigsaw puzzles and play Scrabble. She says he is very romantic. He writes her love poems and then sets them to music. She says she wants him to know that he is loved, adored, wanted and needed which creates the acronymn, "lawn." Since it was close to bedtime I didn't finish watching it but I will finish tomorrow.

I got these cards just from going on
Family Search today and doing what
they suggested.

Jesus Christ Baptism of
Matthew 3:13
Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
Book of Mormon
Mosiah 1:1-14
* Why is it important to hear the testimony of your parents?
* Why is it important to share yours with your children?
- Why is it important to hear the testimony of your parents?
So when hard times come we will reflect upon those things our parent's have taught. It is very comforting to know as we are married in the temple and keep the covenants and commandments of the gospel of Jesus Christ, promised blessings follow us and our posterity. Though some of our children may wander the Lord knows them and exactly where they are. He has provided a way for each of His children to return home if they will listen to Him. Could you imagine where we would be today without records from Adam and Eve to this very day? Those records are filled with testimonies of parents and children, who have fulfilled and honored the commandments of God. Those who have testified of the divine mission of Jesus Christ with all the might of their souls. Is it not equally important to share our testimonies with our children, and record it?
Old Testament
Joshua 3-4
3 Joshua leads Israel to the Jordan - The Lord cuts off the water of the Jordan; it stands up as a heap, and Israel passes over on dry ground.
4 Joshua places twelve stones to commemorate the crossing of the Jordan - Joshua is magnified before the children of Israel as they cross the Jordan - After the priests bearing the ark pass over, the river returns to its course.

I received the letter from the First Presidency that President Nelson mentioned in conference. It is in regards to visiting and home teaching now changed to ministering. I am grateful we don't have to report every month, now it is only quarterly. We also don't have to make home visits.

James fed his bunnies as soon as he got home on Sunday. This morning we looked outside and saw a stellar jay eating the bunnies food. James made the comment: "Maybe we need a bird feeder."

The wax remover I got for the wood floor works with a little elbow grease. It is messy, but better than scraping with a spatula. It is going to take awhile to finish the entire floor on the ground level and upstairs.

We left for town around 3 this afternoon with James driving our rental car, which means he wants me to read from our book, "Ashes on the Moor." I did read after talking to Charlotte on the phone. She is sad because she missed conference and today she found out Kelly and Paige took Philip and Roland to Salt Lake City and they were able to go to a session of conference. Philip's car registration has her name on it and it has cost her lots of money which he chooses to ignore.

It was a beautiful day today with the high around 65 and no wind.

When we got back from town James went out on the Razr again. This time he did some hiking in a canyon and called up several coyotes with his rabbit squealer.

It is 7:30 and I am still blogging. I didn't finish Saturday's blog before 8:30 when I went to finish watching conference with James.
We watched and listened to the last two talks in the Saturday afternoon session. The first was "Teaching in the Home - A Joyful and Sacred Responsibility" by Devin G. Durrant and the second was "Family History and Temple Work: Sealing and Healing" by Elder Dale G. Renlund. While listening I walked around the family and living room.

This is called a granny pod for your backyard.
I am calling it a gpa-gma pod since we are
both alive.
