I packed five or six boxes this morning and then got dressed to do some errands. The weather was gorgeous, in the 50's with lots of sunshine. I mentioned that we have alot of birthdays in February. Included in those birthdays is one of my dearest friends, Karen Schneider. We have a standing lunch date at Firebird Grill to celebrate our birthdays. We both get the coconut shrimp with mango coleslaw. It's on the appetizer menu but that's ok. We love their sourdough bread and we share a small loaf. For dessert we get a hot fudge sundae. Today was our day to celebrate Karen's birthday. I hope this tradition continues forever!!
This afternoon I got to spend some time with Stacy. I bought her a puzzle yesterday at Hobby Lobby as a late birthday gift but it's one she already has. We went back today and got her a new one. It was her first visit to one of my new favorite stores. That place is so fun for window shopping! Afterwards we went to Sonic and got diet sprites with regular cherry flavoring.
After taking Stacy home I made a trip to Mesa to the distribution center to get some temple pictures for New Beginnings. Afterwards I came home and did some work in the yard. I only made a dent but I figure if I do a little each week and Stacy does some watering, things will start to look better.
This evening James and I went to Jersey Mike's for dinner and then came home and watched Veronica Mars. It was the only show on the DVR that we were interested in watching.

James finished the Boles job yesterday and today he started texturing the walls in our entryway and hallway. After the first coat he sands and drywall dust goes everywhere. It is my job to clean it up. What a mess.
I also worked downstairs in my office. I packed about 12 boxes of books, etc. off my bookshelf and barely emptied 5 shelves out of 30.
Joshua went to a play today at school about colors. He came home and the first thing he said to me was "Grandma, did you know that red and blue make purple?" He knows that my favorite color is purple.

watching SpongeBob on the television.

We spent this evening with Darrel and Trina's family. We had dinner at Chipotle and then afterwards we went back to their house. First Ruby and Addy did some trick and then we played Hedbanz and watched Mary Poppins.
Ruby's version of the splits.
Addy's cartwheel.
Ruby is spaghetti and meatballs.
Rowan's a penguin.
Yes Addy, you are a banana.
While James visited with Darrel and Trina I had a great time with the kids. It was a fun evening.
