While I was walking this morning I listened to "Thou Hope and Deliverer" from "The Lamb of God."
"Thou Hope and Deliverer promised of old,
For whom we have waited e'er long,
O come and redeem us from slavery's yoke,
And deliver Thy people home.
Yea, Thou in whose presence our soul takes delight,
On whom in affliction we call,
Our comfort by day and our song in
the night,
Our Hope, our Deliv'rer, our All.
Hosanna! Hosanna! Sing praises to God,
Our Hope, our Deliv'rer, our All.
O hear Thou dear Savior, our call."

For breakfast I had blueberry muffins, fresh pineapple, and sausages. James cut up the pineapple.

I made a mistake regarding Zeniff. He did have conflict with the Lamanites after living among them for 12 years. He led his army in the strength of the Lord and defeated them. Twenty two years later he did it again. I think he was a righteous made that made a poor decision by returning to the land of Nephi.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a frozen Mexican minestrone soup mix that is supposed to be cooked in a pressure cooker. I got out my pressure cooker and the instructions and finally figured out how to use it. A little while later we had Mexican minestrone soup. It was quite good but I'm not sure James liked it as well as I did.

James went to town to deposit a check, and horse feed. I had asked him to get me a cherry Dilly bar but he forgot. I must admit I was a little sad.

I went upstairs this afternoon to work on the health masks that Maxine brought to me last week. I have one made and there are five more to make. I finished all but two and then decided I needed to quit and finish the last two tomorrow morning. While I was working I watched the last episdoe of "Lark Rise to Candleford." It was a good one.  Alf proposes to Minnie and Gabriel proposes to Dorcas and Margaret is expecting a baby. The only thing that could have made it better was if Daniel proposed to Laura. The series is based on a trilogy of books by a woman named Flora Thompson. The story is based on her life growing up in England. I am sorry it is finished by I am going to enjoying going back and re-watching it many times with James and others.

Here are some quotes from a previous episode when Thomas orders some long woolen underwear for Margaret from a famous German named Dr. Fortwrangler.
Thomas to Margaret: "I urge you to put it on my dear. A chill may strike at any moment. The fluctuatin' temperatures of autumn can be hazardous to the delicate constitution."
Margaret wears the underwear to make Thomas happy but she is miserably warm and is continually scratching herself. She finally decides she wants to be comfortable so she goes home to her bedroom and begins to take it off when Thomas comes in. This is what she says:
"No Thomas no. I beg you, do not say a word. I will not be oppressed for another minute by this wretched German wool! I am not a child or an invalid. I will not be struck down by some slightly, chilly wind."

I love the English accents, the period costumres, and the expressions they use when they speak. I love that Laura is a journal keeper, writing everything down that she see.  I also love the beautiful English country side and the thatched cottages of Lark Rise. It gives me a desire to go back to England. My favorite place in England was Stratford-upon-Avon, the little village where Shakespeare grew up. We toured his home and his sweethearts home and shopped in the village. Such a picturesque English village. This is the part of England I loved the most.
I also how the poor people of Lark Rise are content and happy with what they have. They make their own fun through song and dance.

James went on a Luna ride this evening while I stayed home and studied "Come Follow Me" and the new Inklings study of the new proclamation.

I wrote a note back to my friend Judy Hunter today and signed birthday cards for my friend Maxine and for Autumn.

Love the smile!
