Look Unto Jesus Christ
Kim B. Clark
"Brethren, as bearers of the holy priesthood, we are engaged in the work of salvation. In the last year, the Lord has placed the leadership of this work squarely on the shoulders of the elders in Israel. We have an inspiring charge from the Lord - working with our sisters, we are to minister in a holier way, accelerate the gathering of Israel on both sides of the veil, establish our homes as sanctuaries of faith and gospel learning, and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ."

Jeffrey R. Holland: "...His concern is for the faith at which you finally arrive, not the hour of the day in which you got there."

What lack I yet?
I know I have to repent more and change my attitude towards some people.

Sold a book and made $8.75.

I got my first "Done For You" book list. There were seven books on the list and I tried to buy all 7 but 2 were gated. I sent a question in to support as to what could be done about this but as of yet I have not received an answer.

I actually did some cleaning today. I vacuumed the family room, and swept and mopped the kitchen and wiped down all the countertops. The reason for this flurry of cleaning? The Relief Society presidency is having a meeting here tonight.

I made muffins this afternoon but not for the Relief Society sisters, they were for me. How selfish.

Maxine and Kerri arrived at 6:45 for our 7:00 meeting. Maxine brought half of a cake that she made for Mother's Day. We each had a normal sized piece and saved the biggest piece for Tamara. She ended up taking hers home with her.

The main purpose of our meeting this evening was to go over our ministering assignments and make some needed changes.

Maxine is going to the temple to do baptisms on Saturday with the youth so I gave her the family baptism cards I had. Maxine is wonderful. She goes to the temple every Tuesday. She is also going tomorrow with a sister from our ward who hasn't been in 20 years. She is going again tomorrow afternoon with her husband. She is a couple of years older than I am. Where does she get her energy?

Kerri told us that since January 500,000 illegals have entered the country. Since she is a former border agent she keeps up on this kind of news.

We made proposed changes to our ministering assignments and will go forward with them as we receive approval from the bishop.

Has Brienna Nichols had her baby. We don't know but she posted this photo on Facebook.

Caleb
I found out later that Brienna isn't due until July 24th.
This is a picture of her now three year old, Caleb.
Brienna, did you know that people would think you had had your baby?

Our meeting was over at 9:30 when Tamara got a text from her husband which said: "Please come home."

I stayed up until 11:30 in order to get my new goal of 15,000 steps.

Ruby looks adorable in her glasses!

This little girl always looks adorable!

1Nephi 9:1-10:10
Have you ever felt like you were doing something the Lord asked you to do "for a wise purpose in him, which purpose you knew not?"

GC:  Abide in My Love by Elder D. Todd Christofferson
"From the Book of Mormon we learn that the intent of Christ's suffering the ultimate manifestation of His love - was 'to bring
about the bowels of mercy, which over powereth justice, and bringeth about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance." (See Alma 34:15-16)

I love that we are studying the Doctrine and Covenants
this year in Sunday School.

I cleaned and polished the family room and living room wood floor today.  It looks beautiful!  I also swept and mopped the kitchen and dining room floors.

Tom Thumb Peak
I wonder if that's Tom's dog.

I still am afraid to use the wifi.  The 14th starts a new cycle so only two more days.  I have not blogged, got on Facebook, or played Solitaire.  You would think I would have withdrawals but I am doing ok.

I love Evan's artwork!

I have these notes in the margin of 1Nephi 22 in my scriptures:
"The fruit of keeping covenants is the companship of the Holy Ghost and an increase in the power to love.  That happens because of the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ to change our very natures."
Also, I love this line from Elder Christofferson's talk:
"Each of us can experience the ecstasy of divine potential unfolding within us."

This is a picture of Hilary Anderson.
Her mom has Harry Potter parties.
She came as Professor Trelawny.
I think she looks just like her.

This evening I watched the Hallmark movie, "The Lost Valentine" starring Betty White.  I had seen it before and still cried like a baby.

James sent me a text to go outside and look at the moon.  It was huge and situated right over Mount Montoso.  Gorgeous!

Oh Ruby, I love you!

"This is a wonderful time to be on earth.  While there is much that is wrong in the world today, there are many things that are right and good.  There are marriages that make it, parents who love their children and sacrifice for them, friends who care about us and help us, teachers who teach.  Our lives are blessed in countless ways."
-President Thomas S. Monson

I got up this morning and made bacon and eggs for Darrel.  I hadn't seen him since Tuesday and I knew he was going home today.

Brian and Kim made pumpkin bread and it was gone within five minutes.  I made some pumpkin bars with cheesecake frosting that James loved. Definitely a pumpkin theme going this weekend.

Kim played the match game with Ruby and Addy and Ruby won.  She definitely has a knack for this game.
Ruby is the Frozen match game queen!
A crowd gathers to watch her in action.
Kim is so much fun.  She played hide and go seek with the kids.  Rowan hid under the kitchen sink and Ruby left her spot to go to the bathroom so it took a long time to find her.

James took the kids on a Razr ride to look for elk.
I love these kids!

Kim and I watched Lola while Trina vacuumed and packed to go home.  She loved the little lamb Trina bought her last night and wanted to grab it but kept grabbing her hands instead.

Love this baby!

Addy got to finish her puzzle!
Beautiful!
Kim gave Addy a Hermoine wand,
scarf, and robe for Halloween.
Addy didn't need the glasses so Ruby took them.
The dining room table is where most of the game
playing and eating takes place.

Brian went and got gas for the Razr so they could take a ride on the mountain to see the fall leaves.
I couldn't resist posting this picture of
Joe with Ben and Max a year or so ago.
Such handsome boys!

Ruby and Rowan had a great time playing with Alex.

Kim is a favorite with all the kids.
I love this picture!

Trina and the kids left for Show Low around 5 to meet Darrel
and go home.  Ruby was not ready to go.
Grandpa had to comfort her.

We will definitely miss these faces!

James and I left for town around the same time.  We went to two banks, Walmart, and then Sonic.  I am addicted to their cheeseburgers and James likes the New York dog.
