The Arches National Park in Utah

I got up and studied this morning but wasn't feeling well so I took some aspirin and went back to bed.  In the past 24 hours I have taken a total of 8 aspirin.

I did manage to take a shower and get myself over to the movie theatre on Gilbert and Germann by 1pm.  I am seeing Cinderella again, this time with Karen Schneider.  She bought my ticket because I think she felt guilty knowing it was my fourth time seeing the movie.  I appreciated her generosity, but it really wasn't necessary.  I enjoyed the movie just as much this time as I did the first time I saw it!

One of my favorite scenes!
After the movie Karen and I said our goodbye's and I headed for Hobby Lobby.  I bought a small glass lightbulb container to put Alex's birthday money in.  I have a "bright" idea and will share more tomorrow.  Also drove through El Pollo and took some chicken home to James.

Today is tax day and once again we are filing an extension.  Instead of working on taxes today he painted the front door and put a new door, which he had to remodel, in the hall bathroom.  He painted the front door because the staining the boys did was quite a mess.  I said he should have given better instructions.  Oh well.

We went to visit Darrel and the kids this evening.  Trina was at work and got home just as we were leaving.  These kids love seeing us and sometimes it is a bit overwhelming because they all want to talk to you at once.  I absolutely love it because I feel like they really care about me!
I can't stand the cuteness!

My left calf was hurting so badly when I went to bed that I had to take more aspirin.  I also got a printout today showing how much my Remicade is costing Medicare.  My last visit was over $5600!  The sad thing is that it doesn't even help me that much.  Feeling pretty discouraged.

I left Vernon at 9am.  These are the snacks I took with me to help me survive the trip:
Road snacks.
My first stop was at Deseret Book.  I went back a second time to look at the jewelry they have for young women.  I still like the bracelet I picked out before.  I called our Young Women's president to see if she wanted me to buy the bracelets and she said to hold off.  That's fine.  Our first birthday isn't until March. (The bracelets are for the girls birthdays.)
Other stops I made before arriving at 108th Way: Staples, the bank, Sam's Club, and Joshua's school to pick him up.  He says he has a stomach ache but we soon discovered that he was faking it in order to get out of school.  He told me if he must anymore school they might kick him out.  I hope that isn't his goal.

I started raking dead leaves in the yard.  Our yard looks like a blight hit it.  Everything, and I mean everything is dead.  The only green thing I could find was a weed.  James came home and said he needed someone to go help him at the Chandler airport for an hour or two on the Horne job.  Dallin and Michael refused, Ben said he didn't feel like it, and Alex and Joe were going to a Brian Regan show with Kim and Brian.  I didn't want him to have to go alone so I went with him.  We swept off and sprayed off the new concrete and it took about 2 hours.  I got to spray the hose so I didn't mind so much.  Afterwards we went to El Pollo Loco for some of their delicious chicken.  We ordered it to go because we were definitely not dressed to go in.

While working at the airport we got the news that Rowan's tortoise Leo died.  Rowan is heart broken.  He even went and dug him up after he had been buried to make sure he was still there and hadn't been resurrected.  He is such a tender, sensitive little boy.

Joshua said something funny to me this evening.  Stacy was upset with Dallin because he had locked himself in the basement and she was yelling at him to unlock the door.  Joshua came over to me and said:
"You don't want to be around Stacy when she gets her temperature up."  I think he meant temper.

When James and I left for the valley this morning it looked like a storm was coming in.  It was cold, cloudy, and windy.  We started reading a new book by Mitch Albom called "The Time Keeper."  Our first stop in Chandler was Taco Bell for lunch.  James spent the afternoon finishing up at the Boles' while I hung out with Sheri.  Sheri took the afternoon off to spend with me.  Sheri gave me an early Christmas present, a new pair of glasses.  Thanks Sheri!  We watched a couple of episodes of The Mentalist and then picked the boys up from school.  Evan had some birthday money to spend so we went to our favorite store.  Can you guess?\
It was fun hanging out a Sheri's with her and her boys.  Here is a picture of Ben doing one of his favorite things - reading a Rick Riordan book.
This evening James and I had dinner at El Pollo Loco in Gilbert.  Right behind El Pollo is a Hobby Lobby.  I finished eating before James did so I went to do a little shopping for an idea I have for Young Women's.  I bought these flowers and vase.
No bouquet is complete unless every
Young Woman is present.
In other exciting news today, Rowan won the kindergarten fun run last week.  This week he came in second.
