'To be able to exercise our agency, we need to have opposing options to consider. In doing so, The Book of Mormon also reminds us that we have been "instructed sufficiently" and that "the Spirit of Christ" has been given to every one of us to "know good from evil."

'Consistent care of brothers and sisters for each other will come only with persistent efforts to lead you family in the Lord's way.'

James gave me a kiss goodbye this morning before he left, as he always does, but I mention it here because it never gets old. He is working at the Hipps's.

James came home for work for lunch. I made patty melts. He said it was the best patty melt he had ever had. I told him it was the onions cooked in butter.

During naptime I watched an episode of Hannah Swenson on my phone, "One Bad Apple."

James had an appointment with Dr. Ellsworth who is an orthopedic doctor. James wants to talk to him about surgery on his thumb and compare it with the other doctor he went to a week or two ago. The other doctor said he would take the cartilage and bone out. I don't think James liked that idea. He set the date of Friday, July 5th for the surgery in Show Low.

We got a hard rain today for a short time, and then sunshine. I am loving this weather!

This evening James is supposed to teach indexing to the Relief Society sisters. I asked him if he wanted me to come and he said he would rather I didn't because it would make him nervous, so I didn't got.

Kerri helped James with his presentation. She used his computer and put everything up on the big screen. I asked him how it went, and he said, okay. I guess I will never know.

James stayed as security with T-Bo until the meeting was over. He brought me a brownie as my reward for staying home.

While James was gone I made my grocery list. I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and afterwards I'm going shopping. We are feeding the sister missionaries tomorrow evening.

I listened to "Unshaken" on the way to and back from town.

D&C 109:38
Put upon thy servants the testimony of the covenant, that when they go out and proclaim thy word they may seal up the law, and prepare the hearts of thy saints for all those judgments thou art about to send, in thy wrath, upon the inhabitants of the earth, because of their transgressions, that thy people may not faint in the day of trouble.

James was adamant that Tom go out this morning. He thinks he is spending way too much time inside.   He did go out but was back in a couple of hours.

I went to town this morning with James, strictly business except for his stop at Maverick to get me a drink. We went to the industrial park and picked up a load of rebar. We also went passed the new Amazon warehouse being built. Down to Kay's Supply and then United Rental to get a compacter. James has it rented for three hours. He's getting ready for a concrete pour on Monday.

James is complaining about an injury he received when he fell off the house a few weeks ago and hit his left shoulder. He says he has pain like he did before he had his stint put in. This really concerns me. He called Dr. Memon and he told him to get in to the Globe office for a stress test. He has an appointment with Dr. Ellsworth tomorrow about his thumb and will talk to him about it.

James promised me he would take some of the "junk" around our place to the dump today. When I asked him how much junk he took to the dump and he said he forgot. I'm afraid I was a little upset.

This evening after a light dinner of asparagus and a salad, James use my computer to sign in to Family Search and work on indexing. We went out and sat on the deck while it rained. It is so beautiful.

James let  Tom out when we went to bed. I let him back in at 2 a.m.

Some notes and quotes I took today:
"... O Lord, give us strength according to our faith which is in Christ, even unto deliverance." Alma 14:26
"Covenants give us power to overcome the world, and rest. Your testimony is your most precious possession." -RMN
From the book, "God Will Prevail": 'Only covenant makers and covenant keepers can claim the ultimate blessings of the Celestial Kingdom."
