Originally we were going to leave for Texas today, spend the night in Snyder and go on to Longview tomorrow. I asked if we could wait and go early Friday morning and travel all day Friday to arrive in Longview Friday night. James agreed. We both have so much to do here before we leave.

I spent the morning working on my blog and paying bills. I paid our mortgage, my credit card, Navopache our electric bill, Dish, and our tithing and other donations. I also paid several Lambson Construction bills.

This afternoon I worked upstairs cleaning. I put sheets on the bed and cleaned all five rooms and three bathrooms. James helped me put the sheets on the beds in Darrel & Trina's room. I vacuumed and dusted in the bedrooms and common area and cleaned the toilets, counters, sinks, bathtubs, and swept the bathroom floors.

It was just about bed time when I was finished. James packed his stuff and put it in the car tonight. I will get up at three and pack in the morning. It takes about 15 hours to get to Longview plus we lose two hours because of the time difference. We figure we should be there by 9 p.m. Longview time.

James lined Jared Ammon up with things to do while we are gone. Two of those things are to clean the four wheeler and sweep the driveway. He is also going to work on the fence and take care of the animals. Dallin, Michael and Dallin's girlfriend are coming sometime tomorrow.

I am excited to try out my new car tomorrow!

"Abide in Me, and I in You; Therefore Walk with Me"
by Elder David A. Bednar

Another day with no rain and temperatures in the 80's and it is almost Fall.

Tom caught a rat today and after it was dead he threw it around in the air and played with it before tearing it apart. Jared Ammon took a video.

Jared got another bee sting but this one didn't swell up like the last one did. Maybe his system is getting use to them.

James had an appointment at Horne this morning to look at a car. I didn't go because I thought it might take awhile and I had a lot to do before we go to Texas. He called me and told me he was going to buy the car. It's a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox with around 35,000 miles. He called me and told me he was going to buy it and I would need to come back with him to drive it home, which I did. Here is a picture of the car:
I'm naming my car Celeste.
I love her!

Before going upstairs I put my puzzle which I have started but not finished into baggies so it won't be left out while I am gone.

I started cleaning upstairs but ended up just washing sheets. I made scalloped potatoes in the crockpot and green chili stew in the stockpot. The potatoes were more like soup because I doubled the sauce. James and Jared ate both for dinner. I did most of the dishes but got tired and asked James if he would finish for me and he did.

We went into the bedroom and listened to "Hearts of Briarwall." I worked on my blog and James walked.

Jared Ammon said Dallin told him to get rid of the bees before they come up. I laughed and said, "Is there anything else we can do for you Dallin?"

"Do You Know Why I as a Christian Believe in Christ"? by Elder
Ahmad S. Corbitt

"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free"...

Jesus Christ died for me; He thought me worthy of His blood. He loves me and can make all the difference in my life.

I made breakfast for James and Jared Ammon this morning, scrambled eggs and banana walnut muffins. James had three of the muffins. The dishwasher is not drying dishes so I've been doing dishes by hand.

I found the car title this morning in the file where I knew I put it. James was quite happy. We went to town, had it notorized at Desert Title and while I was shopping at Walmart James went to mail it.

One the way home we went through the lot at Hatch's and I found a car that I like, a 2020 Chevy Equinox with 60,000 miles. James like it too except for the fact that it has 60,000 miles.

He came home and found a 2021 Chevy Equinox, white, with 35,000 miles at Horne on the internet. He called and made an appointment for tomorrow at 10:00. I am very excited!

I received three packages today; a 75 ft hose from Temu, knee highs, and a ceramic sealer cleaner. John, the post master in Vernon, made a comment to James about all of my packages. I'm not sure why he should care or that it is any of his business and I told this to James.

Kathy Crane picked me up at 2:00 this afternoon and we went to visit Catherine Halcomb the other sister that we minister to. While we were there Sue Young dropped by. She was here to drop off a temple dress for Catherine to alter and to pick up one that Catherine already altered. Sue works at the temple on Wednesdays.  Also, Kerri came home and helped Sue with something on the computer. This Halcomb mom and daughter are pretty helpful people! I took Catherine some muffins. She told us when we were leaving that we didn't have to visit and I told her: "We come because we want to."

For dinner we had hamburgers, beans, hashbrowns and peas.

I am grateful for three things James did for me today: He found a car for me, he finished the dishes, and he walked for me while listening to "Hearts of Briarwall."

Happy 19th Birthday Addy!

Addy is a sophomore at ASU majoring
in electrical engineering.

No rain today and it was in the upper 80's. What's happening. That's July weather!

Kim and Brian left for home this morning. We will miss having them here.

We love you guys!

Kathy Crane texted me this morning and said we have a doe and a fawn on our property. I looked for them throughout the day but never saw them.

Kathy and I visited Janna Grombach today. Janna is going camping later in the week so that's why we went today. We always enjoy visiting her. Janna gave me a dozen eggs and some tomatoes from her greenhouse. Kathy gave me a huge zucchini.

This afternoon James and I went to town. We pulled James's trailer to return some lumber to Kay's. James should get about a $278 credit.

I was going to do some shopping at Walmart but the traffic was back up for about two miles. I had James take me to Pizza Factory instead. I got a small veggie pizza for James and a larger special for Jared. I had a piece of each.

James needed to pick up something for the sprinklers at Ace but he forgot his wallet. I told him he could use my credit card which made him happy.

While we were gone Jared went to the sunflower field. He also moved from upstairs back downstairs since Kim and Brian are gone.

I looked outside to see how nice the deck looks and noticed a circle of bees eating honey that dripped from upstairs. James thought he was rid of all the bees. Not so.

Looking at this makes my skin crawl

Liberty Mutual won't send the check for my car until they receive the title from us. We couldn't find it today but I am almost positive I know where it is and will find it tomorrow.
