We have company. Sheri, Ian, Ben, Max, Evan, Adam, and Joshua arrived last night. This evening Alex, Shayna, and Joe arrived. I guess you could say we have a full house.

James, Sheri, Ben and I all watched the first session of conference together. Between the session Sheri and I went shopping in town. We were gone almost three hours. James and Ben had already watched the afternoon session. Sheri and I sat down and watched it together.

Other Happenings Today

I began listening to the audio book by Elder Gerald D. Lund, "The Second Coming of the Lord." I read the first book he wrote back in the 70's but this is the revised updated version. Here are a few quotes I wrote down:

Preparation gets us ready for the separation of the wicked from the righteous

If ye are prepared ye shall not fear

Zion isn't where we live it's how we live.

The time is coming when those who obey the Lord will be separated from those who don't

After dark the grandkids and Shayna went outside to play gray wolf. Ben felt something in the leg of his pants and swatted it. It turned out to be a baby bird which didn't survive.

James got lots done today, including setting up a dog kennel for Ollie and Ziggie outside. I'm not sure how much they liked it. It wasn't as big as we wanted it to be. The bigger ones were all sold out.

James left this morning for the valley. He is going down for a concrete pour of the driveway of one of Chacon's houses. He is also going to see his mom and Dawn for their birthdays, and he is going to look for a truck. A lot to do in one day. I stayed home to get ready for our company. Sheri texted me today and said they were coming up tonight. There will be nine people and two dogs.

I got my Book Profits account reinstated today. It is costing me $197.00 a month. I should have been paying this all along. I'm not sure what account they used before. I need to check in to it.

I repriced today, bought a couple of books, and while doing so I listened to Inklings Institute.

I watched a new Hallmark movie on the movies and mysteries channel. It reminded me of Heartland only this was better. Jon Voight and James Caan plus Teri Polo were in it. I like all three of them.

This afternoon I went downstairs and put clean sheets on the bed, hung fresh towels and did a general cleanup of the bedroom down there.

I also went upstairs and cleaned. Since there are nine people coming I made sure James's office was cleaned too. James got home this evening just as I was finishing up. He was anxious to read a chapter or two from "English Trifle" because in the last chapter Sadie was locked in the vegetable cooler. He brought me a taco from Taco Bell. He also picked up a watermelon and cranberry celebration from the Fry's in Globe.

Today was another beautiful day here in Vernon where the high was around 75 degrees. No rain in sight though. I am praying for it. We need it so badly.
