We attended the Frisco 4th ward today with Jared and his family.  The chapel was full and so was much of the overflow.  Tricia says the primary is big but mutual is small.  The ward has indexed 80,000 names so far this year.  I visited a few minutes with Rick Solomon, Bill and Rita Solomon's son.  (Rita is my cousin).
Here are some pictures of the kids all ready for church.

James likes to wear bow ties.  Anna and Emmy are beautiful and Molly is a ham.

After church we ate some lunch and then some of us took naps.  James has not felt well this entire trip.  Last night he had a squeezing in his chest, and he left arm and jaw hurt.  Jared gave him a blessing and he slept quite well last night.  This afternoon I play 5 Crowns with Anna, Emmy, Jared, James and Tricia.  Since Tricia and Jared have decided to move to El Paso and Jared is leaving on Monday to start work, they wanted to give everyone priesthood blessings this evening.  Molly was first and then she wanted to help give everyone else their blessings.  We had to explain that only Daddy and Grandpa could give the blessings.  Jared blessed all the kids and Tricia and then James blessed Jared.

This morning Anna had a volleyball game the same time as Emmy's softball game.  James, James Hayden, Molly, and Jared went to Emmy's game and Tricia and I went to Anna's volleyball games.  Anna's games were in a place called The Fieldhouse which is a huge sports complex where people play basketball, soccer, football, volleyball and baseball, all indoors.  I've never seen anything like it in Arizona.  Jared said that in some sports magazine there was an article that said if you want to raise an athlete move to Frisco, Texas.  I believe it.

Anna's team is called the Yellow Jackets.  It's the first time in my life I have cheered for the Yellow Jackets.  They played the Spiker Chicks.  The Spiker Chicks won both games so we were eliminated.  Anna broke someone's serve and then returned another volley from her knees.  She also made an overhanded serve and earned a dollar from her Mom.  Here is Anna and her team:
I love their socks!

Emmy's team is the Sooner's and when I said aren't the Sooners in Oklahoma she said: "Oh it's okay because Texas and Oklahoma are mixed together.

We all went home and took naps and then tried twice to go to The Snow Cone Lady but never made it.  The first time we went too early.  She doesn't open until 3 on Saturday.  The next time we went the line was way too long and we were late for James's baseball game.  James plays for the Marlin's.  They lost to the Blue Jays.
The park where James plays has a pond and he was going to go fishing after his game but we went to Firehouse Subs instead.  I took a picture in the parking lot to show some of the beautiful oak trees that are everywhere here.

After the kids were in bed this evening James was having chest pains, and pain in his jaw and arm.  Jared gave him a blessing and he immediately felt better.  I am grateful for the priesthood and Jared's worthiness to give his Dad a blessing.

This morning I went to the McKinney Trade Show with Tricia.  This trade show is held the Friday after the 3rd Monday of every month.  It's like a flea market and Tricia's favorite place is the one that has vintage furniture and accessories.  It was also my favorite.  James and Jared and Molly made a trip to Costco.

This afternoon when the kids got home from school Jared and I took them to The Snow Cone Lady.  Anna was in trouble so she didn't get to go.  This is a very popular concession in Frisco.
I had the Tiger's Blood which is cherry flavoring with coconut.  It was delicious!

This evening Jared and Tricia went to the ward temple night at the Dallas temple.  They had 40 people from their ward attend.  Our ward has never had that many at a ward temple night.  They saw Kay and John McClellan who work at the temple on Friday's  James and I stayed home and babysat.

The kids stayed home from school today so we could go to the zoo in Dallas.  Jared and Tricia have season passes.  We took two cars, the van and our car.  Molly and Emmy, "ready for the zoo".
James and James, best buds.
The most fun part of the zoo was feeding the giraffe's, except for Molly who was afraid of them.

We left this morning at 6am Texas time.  James keeps reverting back to Arizona time and that's why I have to qualify.  We stopped at McDonald's drive-thru for breakfast and then we were on our way down 1-20.  We arrived in Gordon around 12:15.  Laura's sister Elaine met us at the Bar-B Restaurant to pick up Laura and Dave.  I guess her home is way out in the country and she didn't think we could find her.  We said our goodbyes and were on our way to Frisco. I downloaded Map Quest as Jared suggested and we had no problem finding his house. I like this app because if you are driving alone "Tracy" will tell you what your next move should be.  We arrived just as the kids were getting home from school so it was perfect timing.  I love their house and the way Tricia has decorated.  The thing that I noticed is there is no dirt here.  There is either grass, concrete or red brick houses.  I love it!  For dinner Jared and Tricia took us to a place called "Babes".  I ordered the chicken fried steak.  There were only 5 choices.  It was a fun place.  This evening after the kids went to bed we watched "Dancing with the Stars."  Derek and Maria went home.  I was surprised.

James and I didn't get up until after the kids went to school.  Tricia was already gone to the gym.  We packed up Molly and followed Jared to the tire store.  After dropping his car off we all went to the Corner Bakery for some breakfast.  I had the chicken apple sausage and egg panini and it was delicious!

Molly wanted to go to the park.  James wasn't feeling well so he went to lie down while Jared, Tricia, Molly and I walked to the park.  It is quite warm, in the 80's and a little humid, but there are huge trees and everything is green.

When the kids got home from school Emmy wanted to play WordQuest.  We tried to play but it was hard with Molly.

This evening James and I had dinner at Kay and John McClellan's home in McKinney, about 6 miles from Jared and Tricia's.  The homes in this area are more established with large trees and of course Kay's home is gorgeous.  Kay was babysitting her little granddaughter Rose who is a year old.  Our dinner was delicious and we had such a nice visit with Kay.  We didn't stay long because they had just returned from Atlanta where John's daughter was married.

James, Dave, Laura and I left at 5 am for Texas.  We drove to Demming and had lunch at Denny's with James and Dave's Dad, George.  I am sorry I didn't take a picture.  We drove through El Paso and thought about Jared and Tricia living here.  I told Jared they should live in Las Cruces, New Mexico because it was much prettier and only 40 miles away.  Our next stop was in Van Horn, Texas where we spent the night at the Motel 6.  All I can say is there was no wasted space in that room or the bathroom.  James has felt miserable the entire trip.  His shoulder is really bothering him.  Laura and I went shopping at one of the only two stores in town, The Dollar Store.  I got all of the things I needed including dark chocolate for James.  We had dinner at the Subway, went back to the hotel and went to bed.  This town has one main road and many of the businesses have closed down.  It's a dying town.
