If you faith in Jesus Christ has led to a hart softened through the effects of His Atonement, you will be more able to feel the whisperings of the Spirit in answer to your prayers. My personal experience is that the still, small voice, which is real, is clear and discernible in my mind when I feel an internal quiet and submission to the Lord's will. That feeling of humility can be best described as "Not my will, but thine, be done."

Prayer 18

I must tell, with a little hesitancy about what it says about me, of James's dream he had last night. We were at a hotel and it was in the morning. James was still in bed, but I was up. Room service came with our breakfast. I ate mine and then I ate his. What is this about? I was that hungry or that I am a selfish imp who doesn't care about my husband and his needs?

I got a recipe off of Pinterest. It's called, "The Most Amazing Chocolate Cake." I was going to make it for "Come Follow Me" on Sunday for Chuck's birthday which is on Saturday. I am also going to make an Eagle Brand pie for James's birthday. Kathy Crane told me I did not need to make a cake for Chuck, that she would do it and bring it over for "CFM." Okay, but I still have everything to make the amazing chocolate cake so I went ahead and made it today. It makes 3-9inch layers. When I baked them, they sank in the middle. Maybe I should have added extra flour for the high altitude. I frosted one layer and put the other two in the freezer. The frosting uses cream cheese and butter but neither James nor I liked it as well as the Texas sheetcake frosting which tastes like fudge. James put nuts on his piece. The cake was good, but....was it the most amazing cake ever? I don't think so.

James needed to pick up his prescriptions today so he went into town. He forgot I was going to visit my 88 year old friend Catherine and he took my car. I had to use his truck to go see Catherine. I was going to ask her to go over to Tina's to get my cake carrier but since I had the truck I didn't. There is no way Catherine would have been able to get up in to it.

My visit with Catherine consisted of her telling me about the aftermath of Kerri's accident and that the Grapp's loaned her a truck to drive. Just as I am getting up ready to go, the Elders come for a visit. I think Kerri had told them to come over and use the printer.
Before going home I drove over to Tina's to get my cake carrier. Tina was worried that her daughter had thrown away the bottom of the carrier. She mentioned two piece of cardboard. I told her that was not the bottom of the cake holder but when I went to pick it up it was apparent the inside bottom was gone. I can still use it so it's okay.

It is only in the 40's but it is a gorgeous sun shiny day with no wind.

James did not get any noodles because Panda's computer was down and he only had $5.00 The cost was $5.80. Instead of stirfry for dinner we had shrimp and a salad.

After dinner, James and I went upstairs and put clean sheets on the beds. This hasn't been done since our company left and I am grateful that James helped me. It goes so much faster when two people are putting sheets on a bed.

Here are some notes I took when I read the article in the Liahona, "Finding Jesus Christ in the Old Testament":
Truth 1: Jesus Christ is Jehovah

Truth 2: Objects and Events Can Teach Us About Our Savior

Truth 3: Jehovah Is a Personal God

Truth 4: Jesus Christ Helps Fight Our Battles

Truth 5: The Lord's Promises Continue

I just started the book by Joyce Landorf, "Monday Through Saturday". This statement was found on page 8:
"I must leave the warm cocoon of Sunday. I must leave the house of God and His people to take up daily residence in the cold world of Monday through Saturday." Warm faith vs. Cold facts
At least now I know what the book is going to be about.
