At an FSY conference, I met two young women who had been struggling. Both young women mentioned turning to her patriarchal blessing to rediscover the Lord's love and guidance for her personally. Find your patriarchal blessing, blow off the dust if you must, but study it often. If you don't have one, get one - soon. Don't delay finding out what the Lord wants to tell you now about who you are.

I got up and showered around 7 a.m. James had arranged with Bishop Hunsaker to have the sacrament here at home. Jared and Kacey wanted to leave earlier than the time they would get out of our wards 9 o'clock sacrament meeting.

While the kids were eating breakfast Jared said, "Oh I forgot it was fast Sunday. When he said that Ruby had just gotten the cereal out but immediately put it back when she found out it was fast Sunday.

James was dressed in his suit and Jared had on a white shirt, dress pants and a tie. I gave the opening prayer and then we sang "Jesus Once of Humble Birth" before James blessed the bread and Jared blessed the water. The girls were so quiet and there was a special feeling. I felt like I was in a holy place. After the sacrament James bore his testimony and then I spoke. I talked about "Come Follow Me" and Moses seeing God and then seeing Satan. God called Moses "Son of God" and Satan called him "Son of Man." We watched a video that was part of the lesson and narrated by Elder Holland. Afterwards Jared bore his testimony.

After our meeting was over Jared changed his clothes and began packing the van.

Jared managed to get everything in, including the six blankets we sent to the rest of the family in Texas.

After saying our goodbyes we took a picture.

Kacey said there was snow and the roads were icy 90 miles into New Mexico.

James and I watched our wards fast and testimony meeting on Zoom. Kerri actually attended our ward today and we didn't get to see her.

Ruby and Lola came in our bedroom and we watched the "When Hope Calls Christmas Special". They had so many questions, especially Lola, about the story. Lola wanted to know why the children didn't have a mom or dad. I tried to explain.

We told Darrel and Trina we would meet them in Heber so they would not have to come all the way to Vernon to get the girls. We saved them about three hours and they were very grateful. Ruby said she wanted to stay in Vernon. I wish she could. We listened to "Follow Him" on the way home from Heber.

We are home alone, and it is so quiet. I worked on my blog. After James broke his fast and then he got sick. This evening I watched "My Family Tree Christmas" for the second time. It was one of my most favorite movies this Christmas season.

We went to bed at 9. I want to get up at 4.

This is where Molly's ride met her
