At the beginning of the Book of Mormon, Nephi states, "Having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days."

Prayer 11

Pierce is coming to dinner again tonight. I told him I wanted a do-over because last week I burnt the biscuits. Today I made homemade biscuits using three ingredients, self-rising flour, heavy cream, and Sprite. They were delicious. James and I had a couple this afternoon right after I made them. They are so smooth and creamy they almost melt in your mouth. There are still 15 left for tonight. They are small.

I worked on my blog and did some walking this afternoon. My goal is to have 8,000 steps before 5 so I only have to get 4,000 more before I go to bed. I need around 11-12 thousand steps six days a week to make up for Sunday.

I cleaned the kitchen floor and then polished it with Mop n Glo. It is still not perfect and I will have to redo it again next week, but for this week, I am done!

/Pierce came to eat at 6. James said the blessing on the food. We had biscuits, gravy with venison, scalloped potatoes, and orange juice. Pierce said everything was just perfect. After dinner we played a game of Five Crowns. It was Pierces first time and he said he really liked it. I ended up winning. After Pierce left James and I did the dishes together and then we walked. We finished the book, "Silhouette" and started reading "A Blind Eye" together. It's the book I just finished so it's like I'm reading it twice. I'm also reading the book Trina read, "The Giver of Stars."

I forgot the passcode for my tablet. I tried two and neither were right. Before doing the third and risk having my tablet locked, I put it away and decided I would take it to the Apple Store in the Chandler mall and see if they could help me.

This is from the book, "Balcony People" which I just read:

"I have met my own humanity, and it in turn has introduced me to understanding, compassion and, most of all, a willingness to learn."

"Real affirmers are always searching for ways to improve their hearing and listening. Evaluators or "critics" are always talking."

"True balcony people love with honor and respect."

"Whatever you do, do it with kindness and love."

"Listen for what the other person did not say.
Listen without evaluating or giving advice.
Hear between the words."

"My care for others is the measure of my greatness."

"The best person in the world is the person who helps himself, and the only way to help ones self is to help others."

"Balcony people (your cheering section), care from the heart, and their ability and capacity to care is a measure of their greatness."
