In Mark chapter 2 of the New Testament, we find the Savior in Capernaum. Word of the Savior's healing power had spread throughout the land, and many people traveled to Capernaum to be healed by the Savior. They were unable to make their way through the crowd, and so they uncovered the roof of the house and lowered the man down to meet the Savior.
As I read this account, I was surprised by what the Savior said as He met this man: "Son, thy sins be forgiven thee." I thought that if I had been one of the four men who had carried this man, I might have said to the savior, "We actually brought him here to be healed." I think the Savior might have replied, "I did heal him." Was it possible that I had not fully understood - that the Savior's healing power was not just His ability to heal our bodies but, perhaps even more important, His ability to heal our hearts and the broken hearts of my family?
Prayer 15

I listened to "Don't Miss This" as part of my "Come Follow Me" studies. I also filled out the page in their workbook. It was a good discussion. James brought me Citrus Sunshine tea. Yummy! He's also been bringing me freshly squeezed orange juice from the oranges he picked in the valley. I am spoiled. Trina gave us a bunch of her herbal tea because she said Darrel doesn't drink it any more and she only likes the mint. Citrus Sunshine is one of my very favorites!

I finished two blog posts by 10:20 this morning. I'm on a roll and hopefully by Sunday I will be all caught up. Here are some things I read or listened to today: "The Giver of Stars," "A Blind Eye," "Silent September," and "Eve and the Choice Made in Eden."

I also read this quote by Neal A. Maxwell:
"God does not begin by asking us about our ability, but only our availability, and if we then prove our dependability, He will increase our capability."

Today is Anna's 20th birthday. I hope she got our card. Today would have also been Betty White's 100th birthday. Hallmark is honoring her by playing episodes of "Golden Girls" all day long. This evening the played the movie "The Lost Valentine". It was soooo good but sooo sad. I watched it and cried.

This afternoon I worked on cleaning out my closet and loaded up the back of the car with things to take to Goodwill. It is going to take a few weeks to get this closet in shape if I only work on it once a week.

This evening I worked on the kitchen floor. It will be ready to polish early in the morning.

Today is also Martin Luther King, Jr. day. I love this picture of President Nelson:

James was going to go to the dump and to the post office but both of them were closed today for the holiday.

I had a ministering interview with Sister Anderson today. I suggested that she write a note to one of her sisters who does not want to be visited and doesn't answer phone calls. She thought that was a great idea.

I did some indexing and paid tithing today. I hope my life is centered on the Savior and His Gospel. Without the Savior, we have no hope.
