Jesus Christ, Messiah
Moses 7:53
And the Lord said: Blessed is he through whose seed Messiah shall come; for he saith - I am Messiah, the King of Zion, the Rock of Heaven, which is broad as eternity; whoso cometh in at the gate and climbeth up by me shall never fall; wherefore, blessed are they of whom I have spoken, for they shall come forth with songs of everlasting joy.

I doubt there is a person who hears my voice or reads my words who has not been affected by the worldwide pandemic.
The long-term consequences of this virus go beyond physical health. Many families have lost incomes and are threatened with hunger, uncertainty, and apprehension. We admire the selfless efforts of so many to prevent the spread of this disease. We are humbled by the quiet sacrifice and noble efforts of those who have risked their own safety to assist, heal, and support people in need. Our hearts are full of gratitude for your goodness and compassion.
We pray mightily that God will open the windows of heaven and fill your lives with God's eternal blessings.

Restoration Proclamation
P6 S1
We declare that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, organized on April 6, 1830, is Christ's New Testament Church restored.

This morning as part of my scripture study I watched Tyler and Taylor on "Book of Mormon Central." Here are some of my notes:
As part of the genealogy of this people there are 30 names given in chapter one beginning with the oldest to the youngest. The book of Ether is the story of these 30 people, youngest to oldest. This is a form of chiasmus.
Deseret is an Egyptian word meaning honey bee which makes order out of chaos.
Answers to prayers: Air - step by step; Light - Use your agency; Steering - I will get you to the promised land. Trust the Lord.

James went out this morning scouting for elk but didn't see anything. There is a lot of traffic in Vernon these days. I am wondering if other hunters are out scouting.

Our friend Pierce texted James this morning. They bought a couple of cows from Rosa W.  They are keeping them pinned up and feeding them grain before they butcher them. They went over to Rosa's this morning to feed the cows but the cows are wild and they don't like anyone except Rosa. They broke out of their pen and ran off. Pierce was soliciting James's help to chase them down. James hopped on the Razr and headed for the Goodman's. He and Pierce rode out together to conquer the cows. When they got to the Westbrook's Rosa's son Robert was there. He said he would prefer they didn't chase the cows because they were already so wild. He said he thought they would come back and he would coax them with grain back in to the corral. The cowboys rode home on their ATV's.  I'm labeling this paragraph Stampede!

James is excited that he can work outside. He did some work on the poles for Luna's new home and the gates. When he uses the grinder he gets this fine powdery dust all over his face. He doesn't realize it's there and argues with me when I say his face is dirty until he goes in and looks at himself in the mirror.

For lunch we had the last of the leftover spaghetti. After lunch I worked on cleaning the wood floor in the family-living area. When I got tired I sat down on the recliner and put on a movie, "Home for the Holidays." I liked this one a lot. I saved it for James but when I started to play it he said, I've seen this one. He's not in to watching them again like I am.

After nap/rest time I got ready and went to pick up the mail. Before going home I went to my friend Catherine's house. She made me a turkey centerpiece. Catherine loves to talk and is alone most of the day because Kerri, her daughter, has been substitute teaching, so I stayed for awhile. Here is a picture of the turkey she made. She is very crafty. She asked me if I would like to make some crafts with her and then see if we could sell them. I told her that sounded like fun. Catherine is 86 years old but she's a go-getter.

I think Charlie is going to love this!

I was going to run over to Dollar General after I left Catherine's. As I was going down Highway 60 I noticed that my fuel was low. I decided I would go to Stanford to get some gas. I looked at the price and decided against it. I went in to Dollar General and decided against buying my incidental item because it was so busy and there is only one cashier. I left. Wasted trip and now I'm very worried about gas. I tried to call James to see if we had some gas but he must be running equipment and didn't hear me. I didn't want to go all the way home and then have to go all the way into Show Low before getting gas. I made a decision to go in to the Maverick in Show Low and get gas. I like to have a full gas tank in case anything comes up. I'm glad I did. Paula Johnson is sick and needs a ride to the doctor tomorrow if she can get an appointment.

With all my time in the car and my time walking I finished Dragon Watch 4 which left the main character, Seth in a rather precarious position, which leads me to believe there will be a Dragon Watch 5.

When I got home James was still out working. I turned on the oven and popped a couple of chicken pot pies in for dinner. It will be an hour before they are ready so I did some walking. When James came in we turned on a movie. He wanted to watch, even though he has seen it before, "An Old-Fashioned Christmas." We ate our pot pies on the couch while watching. Afterwards we watched a movie from this year that I have seen but he hasn't, "Christmas Tree Lane," starring two of my favorites, Alicia Witt, and Andrew Walker. I love the song at the end!

News from Texas today. Tanner has Covid and now Jared and Kacey are quarantined. They will be tested next week and if they are negative they will come to Arizona as planned but if they are positive they won't come. I guess you know what we are all praying for!!!

A text from Tamara today regarding the wearing of masks to church. Not many in the Vernon ward are wearing them. Here is what her text said: We have important information to get out to all of the members before Sunday. I will forward the information from President Beeler and Elder Heyman, our area authority. It has to do with more diligence in wearing masks at sacrament meeting. Sandra Wilhelm will be broadcasting sacrament meeting and will get us a link so that members can watch from home if they choose.
I asked Tamara if members could do the sacrament from home and she said yes, the bishop encourages it. Also a part of this text:
Jean Howard is having surgery today. Millie is bringing a meal to her when she gets home. What? I had no idea. We tried to get a hold of the Howard's but no luck. We will try again tomorrow.

Love these women!

In Old-Fashioned Christmas Tilly is always
quoting Lord Byron so I thought I would include
some of his quotes here. None of these are the
ones she used though.

My natural mood enhancer, a
green chili mixed burro from
Burger House (I call it Burro House)

Charming Charlie

Reminds me of Molly at this age

Congratulations!

Every Sunday. Love these two.
Dan's voice is beautiful!
