"Standing as Witnesses of His Deliverance"
Up at 4:15. Am I willing to give up my life for Jesus as He gave up His life for me? Could my heart become more devoted? Could my life become more dedicated? In Emily's book "Celebrating a Christ-Centered Easter," she tells about a time when she was in Young Women's as a leader and she and the girls hung plastic eggs with scriptures in them in a tree in a friends yard. The sister was discouraged and Emily brainstormed with the girls as to what they could do to help her feel more happy. This is what the girls came up with. Emily called it a Testimony Tree.
We mailed Alex's birthday card and journal today. His birthday is on Saturday. I also went to Dollar General to get some Easter supplies for my ministering. I bought some candy, eggs, and a couple of buckets to use for baskets for the MacArthur girls. I also bought a loaf of bread.
I fixed two meals today and walked 20,000 steps. This evening James and I attended a combined Elder's Quorum, Relief Society meeting to discuss the lesson schedule for the upcoming six months. After we finished the schedule I realized that all of the talks I had written down were chosen. After the men left Tamara, Kerri, Maxine and I discussed what skit we would be doing at the ward party on the 23rd. Luckily Kerri brought a book with girls camp skits and we picked one out quickly. We have two sick people in our ward that we are aware of, Joann Patrick and Chris Skousen.
James helped me clean upstairs in preparation for Adam and his friends who are coming tonight. While James was vacuuming I began to small rubber and told him to turn the vacuum off. The belt had broke. Luckily most of the vacuuming was done when it happened. We started a new book this evening, "Where Her Heart Lies." Adam and his friends arrived after midnight.
