Simon, Matthew 27:32; Mark 15:21; Luke 23:26, Bear Up
Simon exemplifies what it is to bear another's burden so that it might be light. He reminds us that although we can't take away what lies ahead, we can help shoulder the burden for a while along the way.

Today was a very windy day. I met with Dr. Moffat about my blood pressure. When I told him about what happened yesterday with my blood pressure he said I should not be concerned. Today the nurse took my blood pressure and it was 138/75. When Dr. Moffat took it, it was 121/73. He said I should take my blood pressure each day this week. He ordered some blood tests for my blood sugar that I am to take to the AARA with me on the 25th.

James had gone to the hospital to see Chris Skousen but he has gone home. He was walking outside when I finished at Dr. Moffat's. We decided we were hungry and I told James he could choose where we went. He chose LaCasita.

I ordered an enchilada with red sauce and a taco. Their tacos are meh but of course the enchilada was delicious.

When we were finished with lunch James dropped me off at Walmart while he went to Home Depot. He looking for cabinet ideas for the Peeler's. He also went to Nature's Realm and bought some supplements. He was back in time to pick up my tramadol at the pharmacy in Walmart and to help me check out, which I really appreciate. I bought a couple of snacks for the ride home, cashews and dark chocolate covered almonds. I was tempted to buy a diet Coke but I gave diet sodas and most other sodas up a few weeks ago and I don't want to backslide.

I bought all that we would need for our Easter dinner on Sunday although we will probably be eating it alone. Here are the things I will be fixing: Ham, scalloped potatoes asparagus, croissants, and for dessert I got lemons and limes to make pies but then decided to leave them for the next week when we have "Come Follow Me" at our house. Since we have several apples in our refrigerator I asked James if he would make some baked apples for our dessert on Sunday. He said he would be glad to. I am making Rice Krispy treats for the MacArthur's and the Grapp's. I wanted to make them stripped pink, yellow and purple but the only Peep's I could find were purple bunnies.

When we got home James brought the groceries in and I put them away. We both took naps afterwards.  I finished watching this week's episode of "When Calls the Heart." Elizabeth says she wants to take books to the people who live up in the mountains. I wonder if this was a program in Canada like it was in the United States.

This afternoon I blogged, cleaned the wood floor and walked. I listened to all of the conference talks I chose for Relief Society lessons and I am happy with them. I also wrote down topics for all of them.

I had a bag of frozen stew that had been in the freezer for awhile so I decided to fix it for dinner...I burned it. James was so nice about saying that he is usually the one who burns food. It would have been so good if it had not been burned.

While walking this evening James and I finished our book, "The Girl at the Gate." We both really liked it. There was quite a surprise right near the end.
