Jesus Christ, Lord
Mosiah 5:15
Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works, that Christ, the Lord God Omnipotent, may seal you his, that you may be brought to heaven, that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who created all things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen.

The prophet Alma asked his people this burning question. He said, "If ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?" This question is vital today, because as disciples of the Lord, we need His redeeming power to accompany us, motivate us, and change us each and every day.

Beautify the Spirit

James left before 6 o'clock this morning to go out and look for Luna. He was gone about two hours and didn't see any trace of her.  The longer she is gone, the more I worry. He got home around 8 o'clock and got something to eat and rested for awhile. At 9 o'clock both of us went out together on the Razr. The first place we went was to Pulsipher Creek and what I call the ghost "Ranch." The trees are thick and the creek is overgrown with tree branches. We got off and walked for awhile and whistled and called her name. We finally came to the conclusion that she was not here. She is afraid of everything so maybe she is afraid of ghosts too. jk

We road all over the area around Pierre's and Guerrero's and even up on the hill on the forest. The fence is down on the forest and she could have gotten through but James says she is afraid of barbed wire on the ground so it is probably unlikely that she went up there.

We also checked down on the property where Brother Gillespie runs cattle. It is fenced in though so unless there is a hole in the fence she couldn't get in.

James is disturbing these cows in their "country club."
What a life.

Next we went down by Chocolate Lake which is dried up because Mr. Dobson took all of the water and diverted it to his land. I walked and called for Luna and I honestly thought I heard her whinny but no sight of her. We finally went home, because we had to go to town to take a book I am returning to UPS.

We dropped off the book at UPS and the girl told James to keep the tracking number for 90 days because things are so slow right now. I actually have 30 days to return the book so I hope it doesn't take that long. I couldn't stop thinking of Luna the entire time I was in town. I kept saying prayers for her. I think someone picked her up or she is hurt. James thinks she's lost or just not ready to come home yet.
We stopped at Taco Bell for lunch before UPS and then James dropped me off at Walmart while he went to Home Depot and to get gas in CR-V. He came to Walmart later to pick out a watermelon but they had none. We should have gone to Safeway but I had bought some Blue Bell Rocky Road ice cream and it was melting fast. We did stop at Upholstery by Jose to pick up our outside coach cushions. They look great!

Good job, Jose!

Before we left for town we called neighbors, including Chuck Crane, to let them know about Luna. Chuck actually went out on his four-wheeler to look for her. He did not find her but later he called us when we were almost home and told us he saw her near the front of our house. We hurried home but couldn't see her. By the time we got home she was back out in the field grazing. James found her and fed her. Later he caught her and rode her down to work on the fence. Afterwards he took her for a ride. I told him she was probably bored and lonely and that's why she wandered off. It's been awhile since he rode her.

This picture was taken three years ago when
Luna stilled belonged to the Howard's. This is
her offspring, Maui. We would love to have this
filly but the Howard's don't want to sell, at least
right now they don't.

We were so excited when we heard from Chuck that Luna was home and so were the kids. She really has become a part of our family. I only wish we could make her understand that she needs to stay close to home.

As I was studying Bishop Causse's latest conference talk, "A Living Witness of the Living Christ", I was lead to Omni 1:26 where it says:
And now, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved.

The phrase "offer your whole souls as an offering unto him" caught my attention. I was reminded of President Ballard's conference challenge to make an offering unto the Lord. James and I decided our offering would be to do family history and indexing. I am adding ministering and my whole soul as an offering. Now I need to figure out exactly what it means to offer my whole soul unto God.
