In October 2019, President Russell M. Nelson taught that women who are endowed in the temple have priesthood power in their lives and in their homes as they keep those sacred covenants they made with God. He explained that "the heavens are just as open to women who are endowed with God's power flowing from their priesthood covenants as they are to men who bear the priesthood." And he encouraged every sister to "draw liberally upon the Savior's power to help your family and others you love."

Inklings
It was 36 degrees this morning so James went out and bugled for elk. He says that the rut is directly related to the cold weather. Interesting.
Sheri, Ian, Alex, Ben, Max, and Evan went to Yellowstone today. I had to wait most of the day for pictures because Sheri says there was no internet there. Here are the photos Sheri sent me. She said it was one of the most beautiful places she has ever been. They could only see a small part of the park. She said she wishes they could have stayed a week.
Sheri asked me to pray for them coming home
because Ian doesn't want to mail anything home and she doesn't know how she is going to get everything into the van they rented.
I suggested a trailer but the van doesn't have a hitch or racks on top.
I will pray for them.
Luna hung out around the house this morning and then again this afternoon. I went out and gave her some carrots and James went out and told her he was glad she was staying home. Later he took her for a ride. We really do love our horsey.
James watched an episode of "Call the Midwife" during lunch with me today. At first he thought he wasn't going to like it because it was too depressing but I told him it always has a happy ending and is about serving those in need. When the show was over he agreed that he liked it.
I began the arduous task of cleaning out my closet today. I need to clean out every closet in the house but determined that I would start with mine. I am anxious to get rid of clutter and I am also looking for the quilt top that Lois gave me a few years back. I only made a little progress before it was time to stop and make something for dinner. I ended up making egg salad and served it alongside cut up avocados and bread for sandwiches. James was happy because he loves egg salad. It is my favorite way to eat eggs if I make a sandwich with it.
I finished the audio book, "Key Lime Pie," and started another book by Josi Kilpack called "The Candy Cane Caper." I listened to it while I was walking and also while I was working on my blog this evening.
James finally finished our income taxes today and sent them in to the accountant. He went to the post office today and then over to the Goodman's and locked the keys in Nisa. Thank goodness Pierce had a metal strap and a little tiny pry bar they used to get the door open.
Stacy called and said they ended up taking Shipley to the vet. She hurt her back and is now on pain meds and is not allowed to climb the stairs in their house. Stacy said it cost them several hundred dollars that they couldn't really afford. Maybe she needs to get pet insurance like Dallin has.
