I testify the Lord will magnify every small effort. The Holy Ghost will prompt us to know what to say and do. Such attempts may require us to step out of our comfort zone, but we can be assured that the Lord will help our light shine.

I want to share this quote from Robert D. Hales that was in my "Hear Him" study guide:
"Faith in the Lord is trust in the Lord. When in prayer we say, 'Thy will be done,' we are expressing trust that His will is going to be accomplished. We are also acknowledging that we will endure whatever He allows to happen to us. Part of enduring well is to thank Him 'in all things' (DC 59:7). This means that we express our gratitude for the good things we enjoy and also for the opposition and challenges that give us experience and fortify our faith. We put our lives in His hands, realizing that whatever transpires will be for our experience and for our good. ..."If we endure our afflictions well, the Lord has promised us, 'and, if you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God' (DC 14:7). When we honor the Lord by placing our faith and trust in Him, ultimately 'our sorrow shall be turned into joy' (John 16:20)."

On our way in to town today to do some errands I stopped by the library to give Tamara, the town librarian and our Relief Society President, her birthday gift. Her birthday was Sunday, the same day as my mom's but her gift did not come until Monday. I try to stay home on Monday's so here I am today delivering her gift two days late. When I handed her the cute bag with tissue paper sticking out of the top and her card, she said to me: "This is the only birthday gift I got this year. I did buy myself an ice cream cake."  Wow, I wish I had gotten her more. I gave her the "Hear Him" study guide on personal revelation. She seemed pleased but honestly I wish I had put some candy or flowers or something else in the package with it. As I was leaving I attempted to make things light by saying: "Isn't a book what you are supposed to give a librarian." She laughed and thanked me again.

When I go to town with James it's never just one or two stops. He dropped me off at Walmart while he went to Home Depot to get some bags of cement to set poles for the fence. All I was going to Walmart for was to pick up my Tramadol prescription. It cost me $1.00 which was a relief since the four prescriptions last week cost over $100. I pushed a basket around the store but did not buy anything, probably the first time ever.

Because I always have my phone silenced I didn't realize James had been trying to contact me. I called and apologized. After circling the parking lot a few times he had parked the truck and was walking towards the store when I saw him. He wasn't upset, thank goodness.

We were hungry and made a drive through Taco Bell for some Mexican pizzas and a chicken quesadilla. I ate my Mexican pizza while we drove to CVS to pick up James's prescription. The drive-thru line was long and we probably waited twenty minutes. This gave James time to eat his dinner and for me to read to him from "Lemon Tart" which is getting really good.

James had received a message that his prescription was ready for pick up. When he got to the window the girl said it would be another twenty minutes. James made it clear to her that he had driven over 30 miles to get this prescription which he was told was ready. She apologized and said she would fill it herself, which she did, and it took less than five minutes. Sometimes you have to complain. He thanked her afterwards and went away happy.

Next stop was the auto store to bring in the old starter for my car. James didn't want to remove the new one so instead of getting $100's back we only got $23. Oh well. Our last stop was to get gas on the top of the hill going out of town. While James was pumping I went for a walk. I was determined to get most of my steps today before 6 p.m. By 6:30 I had 12,000 steps.

As we turned in to our place we saw 8 turkeys running alongside the road on our property. James stopped for a minute so we could count. Turkeys aren't elk, but they are better than coyotes.

This evening I finished my book shipment inventory page. Now I need to clean stickers off and runoff labels and and they are good to go. I listened to Kathy and Kris on the webinar this morning and Kathy said to Kris, "You can't sell books if you don't ship them." I kept hearing her say that in my mind as I went back and forth as to whether to spend the time getting this shipment ready before leaving for the valley.

We were in bed before 10 this evening thank to James who thinks I don't get enough sleep. Last night I had a night terror, thinking a woman was bending over my bed with a huge needle to give me a shot. I woke up yelling and I think it scared James. He should be getting use to it by now.

Happy 20th Birthday James Hayden!
