Jesus Christ, Mediator of the Covenant
Galatians 3:19
Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

"The Great Plan"
President Dallin H. Oaks
God's plan gives us four great assurances to assist our journey through mortality. All are given to us through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the centerpiece of the plan. The first assures us that through His suffering for the sins of which we repent, we can be cleansed of those sins. Then the merciful final judge will "remember them no more" (DC 58:42).
Second, as part of our Savior's Atonement, He took upon Him all other mortal infirmities. This allows us to receive divine help and strength to bear the inevitable burdens of mortality, personal and general, such as war and pestilence.
Third, the Savior, through His infinite Atonement, revokes the finality of death and gives us the joyful assurance that all of us will be resurrected. The Book of Mormon teaches, "This restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous; and even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but every thing shall be restored to its perfect frame" (Alma 11:44).
Fourth and finally, modern revelation teaches us that our progress need not conclude with the end of mortality. Little has been revealed about this important assurance. We are told that this life is the time to prepare to meet God and that we should not procrastinate our repentance (see Alma 34:32-33). Still, we are taught that in the spirit world the gospel is preached even to "the wicked and the disobedient who had rejected the truth" (DC 138:29) and that those taught there are capable of repentance in advance of the Final Judgment (see verses 31-34, 57-59).

It is Spirit Week at Lola's school. Today is pajama day. Lola wore her Frozen nightgown and some people might think it was just a pretty dress.

Ruby is ready to give her report on the Australian Dingo Dog. She went outside on the backporch and practiced on Saturday. She also had me look at her report on the computer and make corrections. I feel like she is very conscientious and she is ready. She didn't actually have to give her report today like she thought she would, but she is ready. Ruby is in the 4th grade.

When his parents were gone Rowan got himself up at 6:15. He was always already downstairs and ready when I went to get him up. One night he packed a lunch for the next day. Today, since his parents were here, he fell asleep on the couch and had to hurry at the last minute to get ready to go. Interesting. Rowan is in the 8th grade.

Addy had allergies last week and stayed home from school. This week is her first full week at school and this morning she was up and ready to go. Addy is a junior at high school.

It was overcast this morning and the kids thought it might rain. I told them not to get their hopes up but to just enjoy the clouds.

I went to Target this morning and got two boxes of Dove dark chocolate raspberry sherbet bars. He loves these and we can never find them in Show Low. I also got myself another blouse, a phone cord and other miscellaneous items.

After Target I came home and had some lunch and then drove the 33 miles to Scottsdale to Lash Bomb so Stacy could work on my lashes. When she looked at them she said it looked like I had been rubbing my left eye because several of the lashes were gone and some were bent and twisted. I told her if I had that I was not conscious of it. Nikki was there when I first got there but she left before I was finished. Stacy promised she would only work on me an hour. It was a little longer than an hour but I liked the result. I told her I was going to be more careful and that I was going to start wearing my glasses to bed to protect my lashes.

Trina sent me $200 via Venmo today. I told her that I did not want ANY money for babysitting my grandchildren. She insisted I keep it so I told her I was going to buy dinner for everyone tonight. This was a good night to do it because she was gone from 4-7 taking Ruby to the orthodontist and Ruby and Lola to tumbling lessons, and Addy to cross country. I guess Monday is their busiest day.

First I asked Addy where were some places that her family liked to eat. She said, Mod Pizza, Rubio's, Backyard Taco, Cafe Rio, and Firehouse. I chose Mod Pizza because they deliver. Addy wanted a mini pineapple pizza, Rowan wanted the next size of pepperoni pizza, Ruby wanted a Caesar's salad, and Lola wanted a pepperoni, sausage and chicken pizza. I ordered a couple of more salads and asked for delivery. Lola's pizza was the best! Trina didn't want anything but I thought maybe she would eat one of the salads. She and Darrel are doing the fasting diet and don't want to eat after six.
Ruby couldn't eat her salad because she had been to the orthodontist today and had her braces worked on. Her mom made her a protein shake.

James went to Globe today and picked up his trailer and took it to a place in Mesa where it could be fixed. He used Darrel's truck, which he loves by the way. It's a black dual cab Chevy Silverado.

Trina sat all the kids down tonight and had scriptures with them. We read 3 Nephi 12. Lola read too. She has been told that her dad learned how to read by reading the Book of Mormon so she always wants to be a part of scripture reading. Ruby said the family prayer.

James is dealing with the insurance company about his truck and is pretty stressed. He came down to work on Mario's houses and he has not been able to do as much as he wanted.

Wish someone would make me
