Jesus Christ, Lord
DC 110:2
We saw the Lord standing upon the breastwork of the pulpit, before us; and under his feet was a paved work of pure gold, in color like amber.

"He Goes Before Us"

The spirit of Elijah is changing the hearts of young and old, children and parents, grandchildren and grandparents. Temples will soon again be happily scheduling baptismal opportunities and other sacred ordinances. the desire to serve our ancestors and the bonding of parents and children are growing.
The Lord saw it all coming. He planned for it, step by step, as He has done with other changes in His Church. He has raised up and prepared faithful people who choose to do hard things well. He has always been lovingly patient in helping us learn "line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little." He is firm in the timing and the sequence of His intentions, yet He ensures that sacrifice often brings continuing blessings that we did not foresee.

We are so grateful for the rain we have received this week. It was so needed and was widespread throughout the state.

James visited with Brother Goodman this morning about helping him weld the gates he needs for the fence. Pierce mentioned to him that  he has six relatives who have come to visit and have decided to move here without any invitation from Pierce or Barbara. Pierce is building the most amazing greenhouse ever which will feed lots of people and James and I are wondering if that is part of the draw. Also, I think people feel a need to get away from the city.

Chuck had a heart procedure done in the valley yesterday and James promised him he would work on the road while he was gone so that's what he did this afternoon after we got home from town.

James and I had lunch at LaCasita and for the very first time ever I could not finish my lunch. James had to do it for me. After lunch he dropped me off at Walmart while he went to Home Depot and to the gas station to check the air in two of the tires. He also went to Tractor Supply but the supplies he needed were not in. We also dropped six books off at Goodwill and James was a little stressed by that. He wants me to try and sell them on E-bay but I hate E-bay and don't want to deal with them and he says he doesn't have time. These are books that Amazon deems, "no longer sellable."

I picked up four prescriptions today and they cost over $115. Probably because one of them was methotrexate. I still have to pick up tramadol next week. James came at the end of my shopping and picked out a watermelon and helped me check out as he normally does. We really do enjoy our new car!

The Trezise's are on their way home from their trip and we are all so excited to see Elder Trezise a.k.a Ben. I will be down there next week and I am so looking forward to giving him a big hug.

I saw one of the sisters who works with us in the temple at Walmart. Her name is Sister Gentry. She has children living all over the United States and she says it has been really hard for them to stay home. She said they have not gone anywhere since last December. It was nice to see her.

When we got home and unloaded the groceries and put them away, it was rest time, James in the bedroom and me on the recliner in the family room where I watched an episode of "Call the Midwife."

I finished buying my three books for the day and started working on my blog and walking. I blogged 20 minutes then walked 20 minutes, until I reached 12,000 steps. I also finished my Book of Mormon journal and listened to my book, "The Candy Cane Caper."James worked outside until it got dark when he came in. We had a light dinner and then James sat down at the dining room table in front of his computer. As I was walking around the table he asked me if I could send $500 to Salvador for a job he started. He wanted me to use Zelle. I reminded him that our account was closed the last time we tried to send money. I hoped he had the exact name and phone number. He did and it took me less than 5 minutes to send the money.

It is 8:30 and I have over 12,000 steps. I am finishing up my blog and getting ready to read a conference talk and then take a shower and get ready for bed. It has been a good day.
