Thus was the vision of the redemption of the dead revealed to me, and I bear record, and I know that this record is true, through the blessing of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, even so. Amen.

We are led by a prophet, President Russell M. Nelson, whose leadership the Lord has used to achieve the progress we have felt during all of the more than two years of his leadership. Now we will be blessed to hear from President Nelson, who will teach us how to further our progress in this restored Church of Jesus Christ in these challenging times. I testify of the truth of these things and join you in praying for our prophet, from whom we will next hear, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Part of my study this morning was to read from "Hear Him." I liked this quote from Elder Holland:

"In His own ministry, Jesus did not come to improve God's view of man nearly so much as He came to improve man's view of God and to plead with them to love their Heavenly Father as He has always and will always love them. The plan of God, the power of God, the holiness of God, yes, even the anger and the judgment of God that had occasion to understand. But the love of God, the profound depth of His devotion to His children, they still did not fully know - until Christ came."

James worked inside on paperwork for awhile and then went outside to work on the fence. I was at my desk most of the morning. I did wash the sheets on our bed and did some chores in the kitchen.
We had pot pies for lunch and then I went to the recliner on the family room couch for my rest time. I finished my audio book, "The Candy Cane Caper" and went to Josi Kilpack's website and picked out the next book I want to read. It's called "Lemon Tart." There are 12 books in her culinary mystery series and this one is the first. I cancelled my audio subscription and went to Deseret Book Plus and got the ebook. I decided I would read it to James. This one is a murder mystery. I found an audio book on DBplus and started listening to it while I work and walk. This book is called, "Hazardous Duty" and is about the kidnapping of a six year old girl.

I had on my list for this afternoon to work outside, picking up pinecones and cleaning off the patio. I got a late start and didn't really accomplish as much as I had wanted. I decided it would be nice to have our weed eater to get rid of the weeds in our fenced in area. I texted Candi and she said she was sorry, she thought the elders had brought it back. I asked James if we could get the weedeater and he stopped what he was doing, changed his shirt and combed his hair and off we went. James got out of the car and rang the front door bell at the Campbell home. No one answered. The garage was opened so he went over and looked and saw the weed eater. He brought it out to the car and put it in the back. The front door opened and Jasmine peeked her head out and then closed the door. There was a rickety old desk out in front of their house with a sign that said free. I said, "I guess no one wants the desk." James said, "I can see why."

Back at home I stuck a pizza in the oven and made some zucchini for James. He went into the backyard and as I was walking around the dining room table I could see flames outside. We use the firepit to burn trash sometimes but this was not the firepit. He was burning weeds and pinecones.

I am so caught up in my new audio book "Hazardous Duty" that I will probably finish either tonight or Monday.

In the book Lemon Tart, the main character, Sadie is making homemade applesauce and all of a sudden James has a craving for applesauce. Thank goodness we had some in the frig.

James is outside listening to coyotes near our yard yipping. They are probably the ones he took pictures of the other day. The fun of living in the country.
