Jesus Christ, testimony of
D&C 109:38
Put upon thy servants the testimony of the covenant, that when they go out and proclaim thy word they may seal up the law, and prepare the hearts of thy saints for all those judgments thou art about to send, in thy wrath, upon the inhabitants of the earth, because of their transgressions, that they people may not faint in the day of trouble.

Christlike Poise

Of the Seventy
Spiritual poise blesses us to stay calm and focused on what matters most, especially when we are under pressure. President Hugh B. Brown taught, "Faith in God and in the ultimate triumph of right contributes too mental and spiritual poise in the face of difficulties."

Happy Mother's Day! And what a day it was from start to finish. A beautiful card and gift card to Cheesecake Factory from Kim. A handwritten letter from James. He fixed me breakfast and lunch, did the dishes, emptied the dishwasher and helped me finish my puzzle, "Words of Wisdom."

I got messages from Autumn, Addy, Sheri, Kim, Stacy, Jared, Kacey, Darrel, Trina, and Brian.

Bishop Hunsaker and Brother Skousen came in to Relief Society. We had a delicious fruit salad, heard sisters talk about their mother's and other influential women in their lives, listened to Brother Skousen read a story and share some personal stories and then the bishop expressed his appreciation for mothers and their influence. I sat by Donna Peeler and Barbara Bartels. I am so grateful to be friends with both of these sweet sisters.

This evening we FaceTimed with Jared, Kacey, and Charlie. Charlie sang "Mother I Love You" to me and we had a nice visit with Jared & Kacey. We told them we would like to come out for a visit the last part of August. Jared said that was when it was hottest there but we don't care. We want to be there to celebrate Charlie's birthday.

Talking with Jared, Kacey, and Charlie was the ending of a perfect day. I am so grateful for my family. Oh yes, and Heavenly Father sent us rain! Like I said, the perfect Mother's Day!

One of these is Melanie Lambson.
We aren't sure which one but we guess it
could be the one on the far left.

Lola wants this birthday cake.
