"Abide in Me, and I in You; Therefore Walk with Me"

"The Savior's promise to abide in us is true and available to every covenant-keeping member of His restored Church."

This day was a challenge for me.
James and I had scriptures and prayer, then he left to work at Barbara's. He was back a few minutes later. I asked him what was wrong.  He said he was digging in a trench and he thought, why is so much dirt getting into my shoes. He looked down and saw he had his house shoes on. He came home to change them and said he needed to go to town. I said I would go with him if I didn't have to go to lunch at Owen Taylor's. I thought he was going back to the job for awhile and then would come and pick me up when he was ready to go to town. Not so. He didn't hear me and he went to town without me. I found out because I saw a Jack-in-the Box bag when he came home.

I told him how I wanted to go to town with him and he said he misunderstood me. I said, NO, you didn't hear me. He got ready and went to Owen's open house. He was gone an hour or so and brought me back a piece of banana nut bread. He then said he would take me to town so I got ready and off we went. I got a Slinger and a drink at Sonic and James got mozarella sticks.

The youth of our ward did baptisms today. I sent four cards with them, two men and two women. This evening they had their Navajo taco fundraiser dinner. Neither James nor I went. I did donate $20 earlier.

This evening we walked and listened to our book.
