The Work Of The Temple And Family History - One And The Same Work
Elder Benjamin De Hoyos
Of the Seventy
After the Lord restored the sealing keys to Joseph Smith, the work of salvation on both sides of the veil began in our dispensation.
President Boyd K. Packer taught that "this signal event went unheeded by the world, but it would influence the destiny of every soul who has ever lived or will live. Things began quietly to happen. The Church became a temple-building church.

Up at 4:56. I woke up with swelling on the right side of my face. I had an appointment with Pierce at 10:30 to have him check my teeth for cavities. My swelling wasn't too bad so I consented to go. Wouldn't you know it, I have cavities. Five little ones in the front. Pierce grinded, drilled and filled for about an hour and a half.
We paid him $150 for me, $30 a cavity and the extra $50 was for him to fix James's chipped tooth before he leaves on his mission for Tonga.

When I got up out of the chair and tried to walk I was a little woozy. It was all that drilling I am sure.

James drove back home to get me some Benadryl to take. We think I may have some kind of an allergy. We then made our way into Show Low. We stopped at Sonic for lunch and then went to CVS so James could pick up his prescription. He also went to Lowe's to order something for Barbara's job. My face is swollen on the other side now and is very noticeable. My lips are droopy and I look like I had a stroke. I waited in the car for over 30 minutes. I didn't even want to get out to walk.

Next stop was Walmart. James had the assignment to bring 50 hotdog buns to the Fathers & Sons outing tonight. We stopped at the gas station going out of town for five gallons of gas for the gas container.

The post office in Vernon had three packages for me. One was an Amazon gift card from Sheri, another was some small notebooks I ordered and the last was a set of six little sleeping dolls I ordered.

My first Temu order. I am a sucker for
cute toys. I got this car at Walgreen's
the other day:

I've always had a thing for 57 Chevies. My cousin Dan Strickland had a red 57 Chevy and I wanted to buy it from him. He said it was too souped up for me to drive. He used to race it a Dag's Raceway on Beeline Highway. I was so disappointed. I thought it was such a beautiful car. Red and white on the outside with white leather seats and a red steering wheel and dashboard.

I forgot to mention that this morning before going to Pierce's we went by to see the tile job Chelsea MacArthur needs done in her bathroom. James said he would do it for her at no cost. All she would need to do was pay for the materials. He will probably do it on Monday.

Chelsea says that Alice Wilhelm is going to rent her house. I asked if she was going to live alone and she said no, she is getting married to someone named Trace from Round Valley. We will be happy to have Alice as our neighbor.

James went to the priesthood commemoration program, and cookout at the Wallace's this evening. He took his 50 hotdog buns with him.

I stayed home and ate some of the cherry dessert I made. It was soo good. I also listened to "Divine Signatures". When James got home we did some walking and listened to "Coming Home to Bellingham."

These prescribed burns make everyone nervous.

She is cute!
