38 Now it came to pass that Moroni marched forth on the morrow, and came upon the Lamanites, insomuch that they did slay them with a great slaughter; and they did drive them out of the land; and they did flee, even that they did not return at that time against the Nephites.

"Fear Not: Believe Only!"
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
To any of our youth out there who are struggling, whatever your concerns or difficulties, death by suicide is manifestly not the answer. It will not relieve the pain you are feeling or that you think you are causing. In a world that so desperately needs all the light it can get, please do not minimize the eternal light God put in your soul before this world was. Talk to someone. Ask for help. Do not destroy a life that Christ gave His life to preserve. You can bear the struggles of this mortal life because we will help you bear them. You are stronger than you think. Help is available, from others and especially from God. You are loved and valued and needed. We need you! "Fear not: believe only."

Serenity now, Insanity later! I started taking note for my talk. There are three ways I can go: Cease contention, care for and serve others, and missionary work. I think I will go with missionary work.
I finally had to tell Sheri I wouldn't be coming down on Friday. I would love to come and support Nancy but I just don't want to go by myself and risk falling asleep. I'm not good traveling alone, especially in the afternoon. Now I need to tell Stacy.
James worked at home today. He worked on a contract for Glendale Airport, which they accepted, and he also worked outside leveling and smoothing out dirt for the backyard.
I made veggie soup with beans for lunch. James loved it and I thought it was quite tasty.
I painted a little today but I need a ladder, tape, and a paint roller. James said I was wasting my time painting with a paintbrush and I got a little upset with him and quit. I wasn't pretty.
I got out a birthday card and we signed if for Kim Anderson, Greg's wife as her birthday is tomorrow. James will take it to his elder's quorum meeting tonight and give it to Greg. Greg is the ward mission leader and he will be at the church tonight too.
Charlie and Kacey had their first day of preschool today. Kacey works with the 18 month olds and was pretty tired by the end of the day. Charlie said she liked everything but learning about letters wasn't her favorite.
I got a text from Darrel today thanking me for the birthday card. He said he really appreciated it. I did write some nice things about him in that card.
James and I watched "Marry Me In Yosemite." I never did see the crying woman on the Half Dome rock. I also watched a repeat Hallmark movie, "High Flying Romance" starring Jessica Loudes and Christopher Russel. Here's a quote: "Everyone is just waiting and working to become something more."
