"The Power Of Spiritual Momentum"
President Russell M. Nelson
President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
My dear brothers and sisters, with all the pleadings of my heart, I urge you to get on the covenant path and stay there. Experience the joy of repenting daily. Learn about God and how He works. Seek and expect miracles. Strive to end conflict in you life.
As you act on these pursuits, I promise you the ability to move forward on the covenant path with increased momentum, despite whatever obstacles you face. And I promise you greater strength to resist temptation, more peace of mind, freedom from fear, and greater unity in your families.

James left for Globe this morning by himself after I offered a family prayer. He says that my prayers inspire him. I'm not sure why but I'm grateful that he feels that way.

A couple of weeks ago we had a signup sheet go around in Relief Society. The signup was for rolls, salad, or desserts to bring to the ward campout, which is tonight. We had 17 sisters signup and Tamara asked if anyone could call and remind them of what they said they would bring. I said I could do it.

One of the sisters was Sally Sedig. She was supposed to bring rolls but she is going to have to be excused. She broke her leg and is in rehab in Tucson. I mentioned it to Cheryl, her daughter-in-law, who signed up to bring dessert hoping she might agree to bring rolls for Sally. I don't know if she did or not.

I contacted all of the 16 other sisters via a phone call, text, or leaving a message. Ruth Wilhelm was asked to bring Dutch oven potatoes so she won't be bringing a dessert. Also, Paula Johnson, who signed up to bring a dessert said she would not be coming. I gave this report to Tamara and she said that the bishop had asked Jimmie, her husband, to please bring two fruit cobblers. That should makeup for the desserts, but I'm not sure about rolls.

I also sent out an email to all of the sisters who have their emails registered through the church regarding Sunday's Relief Society lesson.
I finally finished all of my Relief Society assignments for the day and moved on to something else.

This afternoon at 1:00 I participated in Dawn's card-making Zoom meeting.  Carmen just arrived from Pennsylvania. She is at Lois and Dawn's and will be a part of the meeting. She is here to celebrate her mother's 95th birthday which is on October 2nd.

Others at Lois and Dawn's: Cathi, Laura, Rebecca, and over course Lois and Dawn. Connie is on too from San Angelo, Texas.

Connie sent all of us in the mail instructions on how to make a card with several different folds. She had in her package a finished card, which was very helpful. Here is what it looked like:

Pierce had asked James to help with the plumbing on his brother-in-laws home. James thought it was tomorrow but Pierce called him while he was still in Globe and asked if he was coming over. He needed him today.  James apologized and told Pierce he thought it was tomorrow and said he would leave right away and should be able to be there at 4:30. When James got to Show Low it was 4:00 and he still could have made it to Pierce's around 4:30 except that he got held up by the Antique Car Show parade through Show Low. By the time he got to Vernon it was raining like crazy so he came straight home. He felt terrible that he misunderstood Pierce on the time and day.

I had a couple of people call me asking if the campout had been cancelled. When I called Lynda Price back she was at the campout eating so I guess they found shelter from the rain. It rained really hard for quite awhile but eventually stopped.

James and I walked and listened to our book and then watched at episode of "McBride."

James took these photos on the
way to Globe.
