I testify that this year we can learn more about God's plan for us in the Old Testament. That sacred volume teaches the role of prophets in uncertain times and of God's hand in a world that was confused and often contentious. It is also about humble believers who faithfully looked forward to the coming of our Savior, just as we look forward to and prepare for His Second Coming - His long-prophesied, glorious return.

Happy Birthday Kacey!

Up at 5:35. James and I got a laugh out of reading Isaiah chapter 41 this morning. Isaiah 41:14 reads: Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

There is a small a by the word worm so I go to the bottom of the page where it says: IE meek and humble. I guess worms are meek and humble. The word worm still gave us a laugh.

James and I left for town this morning around 10 a.m. Our first stop was at the post office. I mailed a birthday card to Wendy DeWitt whose birthday is on the 22nd. We listened to our book, "A Tenuous Proposal" on the way to town. Our first stop was at Taco Bell. James got a Mexican pizza and I got two supreme tacos. Supreme tacos had sour cream. I'm not sure they were worth the extra calories.
James dropped me off at Walmart while he went over to Lowe's to meet with the woman in charge of cabinet orders. For some reason she wasn't there and the other woman he spoke with didn't have time to meet with him. It figures. Nothing is ever easy these days.

At Walmart I spent the rest of my September budget and was checking out with an actual cashier when James came in. He had already gassed up the car and we were ready to roll. We stopped at Goodwill to drop off our old bedspread, pillow shams, and decorative pillows. James left one behind in the back of the car. We also stopped at Tractor Supply for two bags of horsey feed.

I got a text from FedEx on the way home saying that a package had been delivered. When we drove up our driveway I say a box on the front porch. Our Starlink satellite has arrived! Hello decent internet!
James won't be able to set it up until Thursday. Well, I've waited this long, I suppose I can wait a couple of days longer.

I try to watch The Kids Baking Championship, season 6 but the show is constantly buffering because of our slow internet so I turn it off.

James bought two sticky rat traps and set them out. This evening he went over to Peeler's and picked up a check. I made oatmeal walnut cookies for him to take to Globe tomorrow. He makes me lemon ginger tea. We walk while listening to our book, which we finish.

It's turkey season
