Revelations 21:7
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Book of Mormon
Alma 60:1-13
13 For the Lord suffereth the righteous to be slain that His justice and judgment may come upon the wicked; therefore ye need not suppose that the righteous are lost because they are slain; but behold, they do enter into the rest of the Lord their God.

"Preaching The Gospel of Peace"
President Russell M. Nelson
President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
All missionaries teach and testify of the Savior. The spiritual darkness in the world makes the light of Jesus Christ needed more than ever. Everyone deserves the chance to know about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Every person deserves to know where they can find the hope and peace that "pass all understanding."

"Missionary Service Blessed My Life Forever"
President M. Russell Ballard
Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
If you are still in the age range for missionary service but have not served yet due to the pandemic or other reasons, I invite you to serve now. Talk to your bishop, and prepare to serve the Lord.

I am grateful for Greg Anderson. He went with James to Globe again today and took his paint sprayer so they could finish painting the walls. I am grateful to him because it helps me to feel better knowing James is not alone if something happens. He is such a good guy and he and James talk about the gospel most of the time when they are together.

I began studying for my talk I will be giving next Sunday in sacrament meeting. Pierce asked that I speak on President Eyring's talk, "Steady in the Storms" and James is to speak on President Nelson's opening address, "Preaching the Gospel of Peace."

I left for town around 10:40 this morning placing an order with Sonic before leaving. I went down 3144 instead of taking the highway so I could see the sunflower field again. I know, I am obsessed, but I also know they aren't going to be around forever. After getting my diet cherry limeade and chicken slinger at Sonic I went to the post office to mail a thank you card to Dawn and Lois and a get well card to Aunt Gene. Next stop was Goodwill to donate the old games and puzzles I cleaned off the game shelf. Circle K for gas, Home Depot to look at paint samples, and then to Walmart for groceries and a prescription. Walmart was crazy busy as usual. When I was finished shopping I went back to Home Depot to pick up my paint samples. For a small sample of two different paint colors it cost me $6.48 per sample. I thought that was pretty outrageous for the amount of paint I got. I was going to make a stop at Dollar Tree but was too tired so I went on home. It was 90 degrees when I left Show Low and 84 when I got home to Vernon. It's that much cooler here.

I put groceries away and took a break before fixing dinner. Dinner tonight is a new beef and noodle recipe I found along with a salad.

I rained for a short time just as James got home. He said this was the only place it was raining. After dinner I began painting the walls in my bedroom with both colors to see which one I liked best. Neither one. I need to go back tomorrow and pick something else out. A little too green, I need something with gray undertones.

I went on Amazon and chose four difffent bedspreads or ensembles, whatever. Two of them are white and the other two have green in them with a pattern.

As I'm working on my blog James walks in and wants to listen to "Daring Proposal" so he can walk. I stop what I'm doing and start the book and begin walking with him. I've already got my 10,000 steps but I'm going for 12.

I am blogging August 27th, Charlie's birthday and I have 47 photos to post which is taking awhile. I'm having problems with my computer so I am going to finish tomorrow. We listen to one more chapter and I end up with 13,000 steps.

James has a bad cough which is going to make it hard for him to sleep tonight. It's from sanding drywall and breathing the drywall dust. I am so grateful for my hard-working husband.

Darrel does not want a birthday cake so I won't be making him one.
