Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son
Alma 9:26
And not many days hence the Son of God shall come in his glory; and his glory shall be the glory of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace, equity, and truth, full of patience, mercy, and long-suffering, quick to hear the cries of his people and to answer their prayers.

"Come Follow Me"
Jesus Christ suffered so that I can repent and come unto Him.

The Lord said that "every one that asketh, receiveth." Asking seems simple, and yet it is powerful because it reveals our desires and our faith. However, it takes time and patience to learn to understand the voice of the Lord. We pay attention to thoughts and feelings that come to our minds and hearts, and we write them down, as our prophet has counseled us to do. Recording our impressions is an important part of receiving. It helps us recall, review, and refeel what the Lord is teaching us.
P4 S2
The resurrected John the Baptist restored the authority to baptize by immersion for the remission of sins.
The Living Christ
P3 S2
He was arrested and condemned on spurious charges, convicted to satisfy a mob, and sentenced to die on Calvary's cross.
Listened to "Don't Miss This" and Brother Halverson for "Come Follow Me" today besides reading part of the lesson and scriptures with James.
I took the tape off of my glasses this morning and I can see without covering my left eye. Sheri said maybe my right eye is compensating.
I rotated indexing and walking this morning. I have a stake meeting tonight so I need to get most of my steps before 6 p.m. My indexing total is at 4,789 for the month.
Around noon I spent time in the kitchen making my apple-cranberry-walnut salad and some homemade chicken noodle soup. I don't want to leave James with nothing to eat while I am gone to my meeting this evening. I had to take a break because I got a little dizzy. I then went back and cleaned the kitchen. For lunch I had a bowl of soup and two rolls.
Before going to my meeting this evening I put all of my ministering information in a small notebook I could carry with me. I have each of the companionships in my district and the sisters they visit along with their phone numbers. These are in the front of a blue notebook and then at the meeting I will turn the notebook around and take notes in the back. I do this with my monthly notebooks and it works well for me.
I left the house around 6 p.m. James was eating his dinner and I felt good that I had fixed it for him. We are meeting at the Vernon building and Kerri is driving all of our presidency to the meeting in Lakeside. It is a stake Relief Society meeting about ministering.
The meeting was very informative. We learned about the importance of meeting with each of our assigned sisters on a quarterly basis to do interviews. They stressed the importance of doing these interviews in person if at all possible. Honestly, I have never done that, but I was inspired to begin trying to do personal interviews, in person. We also learned about how to do food orders from Sister Patterson and then we talked about missionary and family history work. It was a good meeting and it was nice to hear from our stake Relief Society presidency and our stake president, President Beeler.
These were our handouts and refreshments:
The cookie was in a clear plastic bag. It was decorated
professionally and tasted delicious!
I found out there was a quarterly family history meeting that James, Brother Peeler, and I should have attended Tuesday evening but we did not know about it. In the past we have been sent a reminder. I looked and it was on the stake calendar but honestly, I don't look at the stake calendar very often. Brother Merrill, our stake leader, said he was disappointed with the turn out. Hopefully he will send out a reminder next time.
It was 9:30 when I got home and James was ready to go to bed. After going to bed with him, I got up and did some walking and then fell asleep on the recliner where I am more comfortable. I didn't wear my eye patch like I am supposed to at night.
