'Watch Ye Therefore, and Pray Always'
President M. Russell Ballard
Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
The Savior taught us to not limit who we pray for. He said, "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."
On the cross of Calvary, where Jesus died for our sins, He practiced what He taught when He prayed, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."
Sincerely praying for those who may be considered our enemies demonstrates our belief that God can change our hearts and the hearts of others. Such prayers should strengthen our resolve to make whatever changes are necessary in our own lives, families, and communities.
P2 S1
Two hundred years ago, on a beautiful spring morning in 1820, young Joseph Smith, seeking to know which church to join, went into the woods to pray near his home in upstate New York, USA.

He "went about doing good" (Acts 10:38), yet was despised for it.
A slow start, mornings are no longer my best time. As part of our scriptures and prayers James and I watched a video about the witnesses of the Book of Mormon and how important they were.
James went in to town to get his tire fixed this morning. The first place he stopped was Center Tire. They said it had a hole in the sidewall and could not be fixed. Because their tires are more expensive than Discount Tire, he went to Discount. They also said it couldn't be fixed but sold him a tire for around $200. Because he is going to need three more new tires, he asked them to put the spare on, which they said they would do and it should take around 30 minutes. It took way longer because the guys took a lunch break and then allowed a couple of other cars to go ahead of James's truck. He was pretty annoyed by the time they were finished, although he managed to get lots of steps walking around the parking lot.
James went to get some lunch at Culver's and brought me back a pint of caramel pecan ice cream. He roasted some pecans at home and added them to the ice cream as he shared it with me. It was just the pick-me-up that I needed.
We have decided that we are going to the valley tomorrow. James wants to look at the concrete at Konkle's, and Zaki wants him to do a job for him that he needs to look at. Also, it is Sheri's birthday and we want to take her to lunch. She is going hiking in the morning but said she should be back around 11. I am looking forward to spending some time with her. Since Kim and Brian are not coming up, we don't have anything pressing tomorrow.
This evening James and I started watched the first episode of "Anne with an E." James had not seen most of the episodes so I told him that I would watch them with him.
Stacy made the announcement that she is now going to be "on the books" as a lash technician although she will be giving a discounted price because she is slow. Paul got a promotion this week and is now over supervisors. Congratulations to both of them!
Still no water for Jared, Kacey, and Charlie.
