There are still a lot of unknowns about this virus. But if there is one thing I do know, it is that this virus did not catch Heavenly Father by surprise. My message today is that even though this pandemic is not what we wanted or expected, God has prepared His children and His Church for this time. We will endure this, yes. We will move forward, and we will be better as a result.

In a way, we are seeds. And for seeds to reach their potential, they must be buried before they can sprout. It is my witness that though at times we may feel buried by the trials of life or surrounded by emotional darkness, the love of God and the blessings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ will bring something unimaginable to spring forth.

We have gotten several Christmas cards so far this year. One from Dave and Laura which was a picture of them holding pictures of their grandkids. I've never seen Dave on the front of a Christmas card before. We also got one from Pam and Rick Giles, Dennis and Denise, and the Lueck family. The one we love the most is from Jared and Kacey, and the one from Autumn, Palmer, and Scarlett.

I made chimichanga meat today. I put a roast on around noon and let it cook for 8 hours then at around 8 o'clock this evening I added it to some green chilies and green chili salsa and onions after it was shredded. It also had stewed tomatoes and lots of Mexican spices. James tried it and loved it. I put it in the frig for tomorrow.

James and I watched "Christmas in Glenbrooke" starring Autumn Reeser and Antonio Cupo, tonight. These are two of my favorites especially when they are together.
