Jesus Christ, Lord

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Covenants and priesthood ordinances are central in the ongoing process of spiritual rebirth and transformation; they are the means whereby the Lord works with each of us from the inside out. Covenants that are honored steadfastly, remembered always, and written "with the Spirit of the living God ... in fleshy tables of the heart." provide purpose and the assurance of blessings in mortality and for eternity. Ordinances that are received worthily and remembered continually open the heavenly channels through which the power of godliness can flow into our lives.

I got a text early this morning from James's sister Connie who lives in San Angelo, Texas. She said their home had tornado damage and they were having to move out. She has 15 buckets of wheat she wants to give to someone and was wondering if we were interested. She realizes it would be too expensive to ship. I'm wondering if she thought we might be going to Texas to see Jared and Kacey and we might stop by. I don't know. She also said she had lots of fabric that she needed to move and most of this was stored in the attic. She mentioned that she would be the one doing the moving of these items and that she has a bad knee. My first thought was for her to get someone in her ward to help move the items and also to give the wheat to. She said she did not have any church contacts because she broke her phone and lost all of them and that church was not meeting so she didn't really know anyone. I asked what ward she was in and she never texted me back. This afternoon when we were FaceTiming with Jared he said we could find out what ward Connie was in by using her address on LDS Tools. She is in the San Angelo 2nd ward and M. Ken Smith is her bishop. I gave his phone number to James and James called him and had to leave a message because no one answered. Connie may be to embarrassed to ask for help but I am not.

We rode the Razr at about 5 mph over to the Peeler's where our "Come Follow Me" group meeting is today. We arrived before the Goodman's and the Crane's are not coming so it was just the Peeler's and us for a few minutes. When we told everyone the situation with our car and how now Erik thinks it's a head gasket Pierce said that Barbara had a car she is not using. Barbara said she did and I was welcome to use it as long as I needed to. What did we ever do before the Goodman's moved here?

We had a good discussion of Helaman 1-6 and then Donna and Owen served refreshments. After refreshments James drove the Razr and then we went to the Goodman's and Barbara, after cleaning up her car, gave me her keys. The car she is loaning me is a Honda CR-V. Barbara got a new car but she said she liked this car so much she couldn't give it up. It's about the same color as James's truck. I am so excited to have something to drive while Lexy is being fixed.

Scarlett is staying at Jared and Kacey's for a few days. They had Charlie's birthday party today. It was unicorn themed. I wish the tea set had arrived. Scarlett said the cake was strawberry.

This was a video and the look on her face is
because she blew both candles out.

When we FaceTimed with Jared and Kacey the first thing Charlie asked was to see the horse so James went outside and whistled for Luna. I went into the kitchen and got a carrot and a corn.  Scarlett and Charlie loved watching Luna eat the vegetables.

Sheri got sick during our Lambson study group discussion and had to leave. She said she loved Sister Marriott's talk the best. The talks supplemented this week's "Come Follow Me" lesson on the pride cycle and yielding our hearts to God. Stacy was part of our discussion today too. Since there are five weeks until General Conference and five sessions of April conference Jared came up with the idea to study one session of conference per week. This week we are studying the Saturday morning session.

Jared wrote a letter to Ben this evening and I worked on my blog.

James took Lanel her birthday present, a kitty cat tea set.
She loved it! She turned 2 in April but somehow we missed
her birthday.
