Elder Ronald A. Rasband
"What are some ways we can fortify ourselves in troubled times, that we may be 'instruments in the hands of God to bring about this great work'? Let's look to the scriptures. We are obedient. We trust the Lord. We stand for the truth. We make and renew our covenants by partaking of the sacrament and by worshipping in the temple. The sacrament is the centerpiece of our Sunday worship, where we are receiving the promise to 'always have his Spirit to be with us.'"

I made rolls this morning for the temple tomorrow. I paid bills both personal and business.

James got a call from Dr. DeLange's office today regarding some of the results of his surgery on Monday. He definitely has a hernia that is causing acid to get up into his throat. He has an appointment on the 18th to decide what the plan of action will be.

James and I took a trip to town this afternoon. I had to pick up my prescription and do some shopping at Walmart. James needed to do some pricing at Home Depot for the remodeling project he is bidding. On the way to town we stopped at the post office and picked up five books that I had ordered. Time to start buying again.
I sold eight books today!

Walmart was insane. I am not sure why I chose to shop on a holiday weekend. The people were loud and so was the music. I was so happy to get out of there.

Hurricane Dorian is heading towards Florida. I hope my book buddies Kathy and Kris are okay.

Tomorrow we work at the temple again. It is a fifth Saturday and it's our turn so we went to bed quite early tonight.

While we are enjoying spring-like weather here in Chandler, this sister missionary from our ward, Sister Dahlia Dowdle is shoveling snow.  It seems that she has a good attitude about it though.  Sheis one of my heroes!

Today is president's day and there was no school.  I celebrated by going shopping.  I went to Sam's Club, Deseret Book, and Walmart.  When I returned James had bought me a Whataburger which was in the frig.  Stacy and Michael helped me unload my car.  We had a roomful of guests: Joe, Amanda, Connor, Alex, and Seth.

After putting away my groceries I updated both checkbooks and paid some bills.  James replaced a piece of baseboard in Joshua's room that had warped and textured the window sill.  I did some blue touchup paint and painted the inside door casing of the closet.

For FHE we did some studying from the JST of the New Testament.

This evening we read from our new book, "Trouble in Store."

This morning I paid bills and brought the two checkbooks up to date.  I also figured out how much tithing we owe.  It takes me awhile because I have to figure how much personal James spent on the credit card he uses and how much personal came out of Lambson Construction.

I cancelled the credit card James uses after talking to him and deciding there were some bogus charges on it.  He didn't tell me he was shopping at Cabella's and when he went to check out they declined the card.  I felt so bad.  On top of this bad news he went to the doctor today and found out he has bronchial pneumonia.  He feels terrible and he wants me back down in the valley with him.  I leave around 3pm to meet him at the timeshare in Scottsdale.

On the way out of town I stop at the Splash and Dash for gas and a carwash, something I am in the habit of doing before going to the valley.  I was going to stop at Sonic for something to eat but it was too busy so I went to Burger King instead.  I got a Whopper Jr., no mayo, and an order of onion rings.  Why the onion rings?  They sounded good but I always regret getting them after they are gone.

My next stop was in Payson at the McDonald's for a chocolate dip cone.  Again, why?  No wonder I can't lose any weight.

I get to the resort, Sheraton Desert Oasis around 7pm.  Ben and Max are there too.  There is no drinking water so I run to Fry's to get some.  I ask if anyone wants anything from Jack in the Box.  Ben orders some chicken strips and I get a sandwich for James.  Max didn't want anything.

We play a round of Five Crowns with the boys.  Ben wins and James loses.  After the game the boys go swimming for awhile.  When they get back we have family prayer with them and go to bed.  I was quite tired from all the driving and running around I did today.

Happy 8th Birthday to Emma Lee Lambson.
Emmy before she was 8.
Love the clouds.
I made a trip to town this morning for cleaning supplies, including wax for the floor, and to get Emmy's birthday presents.  I am not sending her gifts to her since we will be there on Friday.  On my way to town I saw two cows, a tiny calf that looks like it's way too skinny, two jackrabbits, 5 elk, lot of bicyclers, and beautiful clouds.
Bicyclers and clouds.
Here is a list of things I got Emmy for her birthday:  a soccer ball, outdoor dart set, journal, colored pens, mail polish, lip balm, and sunglasses.  I also will be getting her scriptures for her baptism.

Came home and worked on finances.  I paid Ft. McDowell and White Cap.  By paying Ft. McDowell before the 10th I saved over $300.00.

James took the three amigos, Joshua, Evan and Rowan to dinner at Golden Corral today.
Being silly in the backseat.

I guess James tried to get Michael, Alex, and Joe to work today but none of them were interested.  I guess they earned all the money they needed and now Michael and Alex are getting ready to go on the Chandler West stake pioneer trek.

"Do not procrastinate the day of your repentance." (Book of Mormon)
Gospel Study, walk to Walmart, yardwork, housework, desk work, lunch, nap and read to James.
This afternoon I put several dolls in their boxes, and went on new family search to work on helping the Trezise's get some information on family members.
I have lost 6 lbs. since the beginning of January. It's not much, but it's a start. I'm sure the walking helps but I need to get my eating under control.
Read to James from our latest Victoria Holt book, "Seven for a Secret."
Worried about our finances. We are praying James gets the job he bid for Camelback Golf Course. We are still waiting to hear about our lawsuit and wondering if the guy who was interested in buying our lot is still on the planet. Stacy is paying me some money this week ($2000) so that will help. Also James is selling a trailer for $1800.00. The Lord does give us our daily bread, sometimes one day at a time.
