Bern, Switzerland Temple #9

2 Nephi 15:1-30
In a world virtually overflowing with knowledge, how is there a famine of spiritual knowledge?
Alma 3-4
Men bring their own curses upon themselves.  Alma baptizes thousands of converts.  Iniquity enters the Church, and the Church's progress is hindered.  Nephihah is appointed chief judge.  Alma, as high priest, devotes himself to the ministry.
DC 30:1-11
How can we be more diligent in turning to the Lord and not give into fear or temptation?
Talk: "Fear Not; I Am With Thee"

GC:  'Gratitude on the Sabbath Day' by President Henry B. Eyring
"And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord." (Mosiah 24:13-15)

I read from "Teaching in the Savior's Way", Live the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I try to read one lesson a week from this manual and one from "Preach My Gospel" as well as the Sunday School and Relief Society lessons for the week.

My Primary lesson for the week is: "Witnesses See the Gold Plates."  I also did a little research on Family Search.  We are about to run out of names so I need to do some research to get more family names.
My breakfast for the day.

For lunch we had roasted veggies and they were quite delicious!

I had a healthy breakfast and lunch and then for dinner we had chili dogs.  Not very healthy, but tasty!

I know this is a little late, but I couldn't resist.

These were my handouts for visiting teaching this month.  The message was on the love of the Savior in our lives.

A heart box of chocolates under the scripture quote.

For Claire a Kombucha drink and some
organic blueberries.

Today I vacuumed all the wood shavings James brings in from the wood pile off the carpet in our bedroom.  He worked outside today and was careful not to track too many new ones in.  His allergies are really bothering him because he worked outside a couple of hours today.

In the Superstition Mountains

This evening we read from "Lady of the Lakes" and watched "While You Were Dating."  I had already seen the movie but James hadn't.

I sent this handout along with a box
of gummy Lifesavers to the grandkids
in the valley.  James took them when
he left this morning.

"We increase in spiritual power with each covenant we make with God." - April 2014 Ensign, p. 33
"Making and keeping our covenants is an expression of our commitment to become like the Savior."

Tax day.  We are late again.  James left this morning for the valley after our family prayer.

I love bofm365 on Instagram.  As I was listening to a BYU Devotional today I was prompted to add study the hymns to my morning devotional time.

I carried five boxes from the basement to upstairs today.  All boxes need to come upstairs in order to make more room downstairs for years supply items.  It was a nice little workout for me.
I polished the wood floor in the family/living room using the Shark Duo Sonic.  It looks so nice.  It's supposed to last two months.  Let's hope so.  I listened to the General Women's Meeting while I was working.  I read from my two books for the month, Suit Up and Blackmoore.  One is spiritual and one if just for fun.
This afternoon I visited Linda Diewald in the capacity of her visiting teacher and as her friend.  I gave her this handout.
It says:
Somebunny loves you!
Happy Easter
Your visiting teachers
"Be faithful and diligent in keeping the commandments of God, and I will encircle thee in the arms of my love"
-D&C 6:20

Linda and her husband Jim are getting ready to go to the valley to participate in the endowment of their grandson who is soon to leave on a mission.  I told them how blessed they were to have a grandson going on a mission.

James had a bit of a frustrating day at the Yoshimine's but I am confident in his ability to get the job done.
I paid bills today and then watched a little TV.  I watched The Voice, Granite Flats, and DWTS.

I talked on the phone today to my friend Charlotte Mattice. The other day she fell and couldn't get up.  She called her daughter but she didn't call back for six hours.  Charlotte lie on the floor by herself for six hours!

Trina texted me that she loved the Easter beans and thanked me for feeding and taking care of her family on Saturday.  It made me feel good.
Love this!
