Jesus Christ betrayal of
1Nephi 19:10
And the God of our fathers, who were led out of Egypt, out of bondage, and also were preserved in the wilderness by him, yea, the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, yieldeth himself, according to the words of the angel, as a man, into the hands of wicked men, to be lifted up, according to the words of Zenock, and to be crucified, according to the words of Neum, and to be buried in a sepulchre, according to the words of Zenos, which he spake concerning the three days of darkness, which should be a sign given of his death unto those who should inhabit the isles of the sea, more especially given unto those who are of the house of Israel.
Book of Mormon
Mosiah 20:12-21:8
*What lesson can we learn from King Limhi on how we should treat our enemies?
- Ultimately we all must turn to the Lord for deliverance from our enemies. Limhi's people will try to take care of the situation themselves but will not succeed. Finally, they will humble themselves and turn to the Lord. The Lord in His wisdom will not rescue them too soon. He waits until genuine internal change has taken place and then provides for the needed rescue.
As far as how to treat our enemies, the Lord says to love your enemies, and to do good to those who despitefully use you.
Old Testament
1 Samuel 5
The Philistines place the ark in the house of Dagon, their god - The Philistines in Ashdod, then Gath, and then Ekron are plagued and slain because the ark is lodged with them.

"I have known our new prophet-president for over 60 years. I have served with him in the Quorum of the Twelve for 33 years, and I am a witness that the hand of the Lord has been preparing him to become our presiding apostle and prophet to administer all the keys of the holy priesthood on the earth. May each one of us completely sustain him and his counselors and follow their direction."

2 Nephi 4:34 - O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm.

RWC: DC 29:5-6
5 Lift up your hearts and be glad, for I am in your midst, and am your advocate with the Father; and it is his good will to give you the kingdom.
6 And, as it is written - Whatsoever ye shall ask in faith, being united in prayer according to my command, ye shall receive.

Listened to the Relief Society section of the handbook. We need an update!

I got a text from my friend Laurann. She is sick and so are her twins and she has no baby wipes. She asked me if I would go to Dollar General and get some. I had told her if she needed anything to call me so of course I had to spring into action. I got dressed, did my hair and headed out. It's just a hop, skip and a jump to Dollar General. Not. It's about 12 miles. I got the wipes and made the delivery. My little buddy Amaron answered the door. I guess he is the only one that isn't sick. He offered to pay me and of course I declined. They were only $2. I am grateful for the opportunity to do this very small favor for a friend.

When I got home from Laurann's my next task was to mend the scripture case I gave Amaron. What kind of a case breaks the first time you use it? The little task gave me alot of grief. I had to handsew and I couldn't make the stitches look even. I kept getting loops. After about two hours I declared I was finished and then I noticed I needed to secure the handle a little better. Will this never end? Finally.

While fixing Amaron's scripture case and while working on my blog I had the TV on, I watched: "The Voice," and a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie that I really liked called "The Beach House." I learned about the habits of Loggerhead turtles while watching "The Beach House."

James had some rather bad/sad news to tell me today. While working on the golf course removing concrete he got the bucket a little full and this happened:

Yikes!

When James tried to turn it off the engine kept  running and cause it to throw a rod. Remember, this is our friend, Bother Howard's machine. It could cost up to $4,000 to fix. Of course, I imagine James will try to get it fixed much cheaper than that either by someone he knows or by fixing it himself.

No school again today in most schools in Arizona. The parents are getting quite frustrated, or so I hear from Stacy.

Cheese!

What can I say?
Adorable!

This morning I went to Peixoto Coffee Shop in downtown Chandler for breakfast.  I brought back three chocolate croissants, one for James, Sheri, and myself.  Sheri loved hers.  James wasn't a big fan, and I thought they needed more chocolate.  The croissants were made by Proof Bread and I follow them on Instagram.

This boy had a football game today.  He made two tackles!
Max is awesome!
Joshua and Evan had a soccer game:

Joshua throws in the ball
Evan controls the ball
Joshua getting ready to kick.
Quick before it goes out of bounds!

While the boys were out getting some exercise, this is what Holly was doing.

Living the good life,
sleeping and T.V.

I felt bad for James this morning.  He was tackling the storage shed by himself.  Alex and Seth were supposed to help but they went camping and fishing instead.  I went out to help him for a couple of hours until Stacy and Paul's family came to the rescue.  This is such a big job I doubt that they will finish today.

James also put a new outside door on the carport entrance.  This was has no window and it is so different from the other one that it is going to take some time to get use to.

This afternoon around 2pm James and I started our fast.  We are fasting for family needs.  Sometimes it's hard to fast on Saturday afternoon and evening but tomorrow as soon as we get home from church we will break our fast and eat.

This afternoon and evening I listened to lecture two of my Constitution 101 class and did some catchup reading.  I also did some preparation for tomorrow's Primary lesson.

Jared Ammon was here most of the late afternoon and evening.  It's always nice to see him.

James worked hard all day long and was exhausted this evening.  I read him a bedtime story before going to bed.
