'There Was Bread'
Bishop W. Christopher Waddell
First Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric
All things are spiritual to the Lord, "and not at any time" has He given us "a law which was temporal." Everything, then, points to Jesus Christ as the foundation upon which we must build even our temporal preparedness.
Being temporally prepared and self-reliant means "believing that through the grace, or enabling power, of Jesus Christ and our own effort, we are able to obtain all the spiritual and temporal necessities of life we require for ourselves and our families."
Restoration Proclamation
P8 S1
We gladly declare that the promised Restoration goes forward through continuing revelation.
The Living Christ
P9 S1
We declare in words of solemnity that His priesthood and His Church have been restored upon the earth - "built upon the foundation of . . . apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone" (Ephesians 2:20).
James left this morning for town to take his Covid test at CVS. While he was gone I worked on my blog and walked. I made tacos for lunch again. Maybe I will eat the entire package myself since James seems to have lost his appetite.
This afternoon James called our friend in Chandler, Joe Johnston. Joe is somewhat of a computer expert and has done repairs on our computers in the past. He lives in the house that James built for Stacy and Paul. James gave him the information for his computer screen and Joe told him exactly which one to order. Before he could do this we had to take a picture of the model number, the purchase number, and the serial number off the back of the computer. The numbers are so tiny we could not read them with the naked eye so I took a picture with my phone and blew them up. Why do they make these numbers so small that you can't see them?
Trina, Rowan, Sheri and Evan all went on a hike today. Sheri let Evan miss school so he could get some physical exercise. It's beautiful in the valley right now. Spring break doesn't start until next week for the Chandler kids. We are going down Sunday and will have a dinner with family at Darrel and Trina's. I am going to make Costa Vida sweet pork. Monday I have an appointment at Sonoran Spine and then Max, Evan, and Joshua are going to come home with us.
This evening we watched our favorite show right now, "Anne with an E." James is feeling pretty miserable. We should get the results of his Covid test tomorrow. He's pretty sure he has a bladder infection.
Happy 17th Birthday Tanner!
