'Recommended To The Lord'
Elder Ronald A. Rasband
Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
Now, we gradually and gratefully are reopening temples for sealings and endowments on a limited scale.
Being worthy to attend the temple, however, has not been suspended. Let me emphasize, whether you have access to a temple or not, you need a current temple recommend to stay firmly on the covenant path.
Being worthy to hold a current temple recommend is both a protection from the adversary, because you have made a firm commitment to the Lord about your life, and a promise that the Spirit will be with you.
We do temple work when we search for our ancestors and submit their names for ordinances. While our temples have been closed, we have still been able to research our families. With the Spirit of God in our hearts, we are, by proxy, standing in for them to be "recommended to the Lord."

This Church is anchored in the perfect life of its chief cornerstone, Jesus Christ, and in HIs infinite Atonement and literal Resurrection.

P5 S4
In the modern world, He and His Father appeared to the boy Joseph Smith, ushering in the long-promised "dispensation of the fulness of times" (Ephesians 1:10).
I had a rough night last night going back and forth from the bed to the recliner. I want to sleep in my bed but sometimes I just can't get comfortable so I go to the recliner. It makes for a restless night.
A week or so ago James requested for me to make salisbury steak like I made one time for the Scott's. I remembered that I made a brown gravy with the steak I made for them which isn't really what salisbury steak is. Should I use a tomato-y sauce or a brown gravy. James and I settled on a brown gravy. This morning I took the steak that I bought, cut them into strips, seasoned them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, covered them in flour and braised them in oil until they have a brown crust on the outside. In the crockpot I made a gravy using beef stock, brown gravy powder, and water. I put the steaks in the crockpot and set it on high. I would have rather set it on low but I didn't get started soon enough so they would be done for lunch.
As a result of repricing all of my books still left on Amazon I sold five today. I matched lowest price on all of them so I probably won't make a lot of money but as I am going out of business and just want to be rid of them, that's okay. I started out with 69 books and now I am down to 65. This is after not selling any books for almost a month.
James dropped his computer today and ruined the screen. We took it in to Countryman's Computer and he said it would cost about $300 to fix and take around two weeks to get the part. James decided he could fix it himself. (Sometimes this drives me crazy and this is one of those times!!). He came home and found online that he could buy a screen for $75.00. The problem is finding which screen he should buy!
We picked up my tramadol which was finally in and then went to Dairy Queen to get cherry Dilly bars. James went inside because the drive-thru was so busy. He came back with a box and set it in my lap along with a receipt. The price was cheaper than the ones I bought on Monday which I thought was funny. I opened one up and realized it was not a Dilly bar but some sour pink ice cream in the shape of a star. James was upset and went back and got Dilly bars but couldn't take these back because I had opened one. He was not in a good mood for the rest of the ride home. We listened to "Candy Cane Caper" so we didn't have to talk. Saw a big herd of antelope in the Vernon field which cheered him up a little.
We got the Build bars I ordered. James sampled a cherry and I sampled a peanut butter brownie. They were both delicious. They are made in American Fork, Utah.
I served our steak and gravy over mashed potatoes and made a side of green beans. It was a delicious meal. Next time I decided I am going to add onions and mushrooms.
I finished blogging and walking this afternoon but did not get much else done.
This evening we watched our episode of "Anne with an E." Gilbert is on the boat with Sebastian and Anne and the other girls become friends with Cole. Billy torments Cole and calls him a sissy. The Cuthbert's boarders have the town up in the air about gold in Avonlea. They are a couple of thieves and liars.
to the right.
